Janet

Toni has been here for about a couple weeks. She went back to work on Monday and she says it's been going great. Her and LaToya had gotten a lot closer, especially since she's got a little more comfortable with spending the money I give to her. Slowly, her closet has gotten more and more things. It still wasn't full though. We had not been on an official date yet but we have spent a lot of time together. When she's done at work she comes to the warehouse to finish up her work and then help me with mine. She had taken a big interest in the business. "You see right here, if you move half of this money into a discretionary account and some of the other half into a personal account, the police won't be able to question it. It would keep the income amount equal to the consumer amount. No suspicion at all." She was currently helping me look over the books because Joseph was concerned that our account balances were suspiciously high.

"But whose name will be on the account? It can't be any of ours." She sat and thought for a second. "What about yours?"

"No it can't be mine. I have debt and it wouldn't make sense for me to be in debt but then have over 500K in an account."

"True."

"Put it on your name."

"Why?" She grabbed another folder and opened it.

"You see here. You have two bank accounts and neither of them are over 300K."

"So?"

"So, it wouldn't make sense that the CEO of a company, especially one that makes this amount of money, doesn't have more in their account."

"But I've only been the CEO for a short time."

"Not according to this document." I went to her side of the desk. "It says here that you have been the CEO for the past 7 years." I looked at the papers and saw that she was right. My grandmother had legally put me as the CEO.

"But wait, doesn't that open up more legal problems?"

"No. You graduated high school with a degree in business, so you being 18 and a CEO makes sense, especially since your grandmother was the previous CEO. It screams nepotism." She closed the folder. "Which isn't illegal. At most it's unfair." We laughed. It was interrupted by her phone ringing. She picked it up and it said it was her dad. She declined the call.

"Why didn't you answer?"

"I don't talk to my father much."

"Why?"

"Just some issues I have with him."

"I get that."

"So what are you doing for dinner? I was thinking about ordering chinese." I got nervous.

"Actually, I was thinking we'd go out. If you want."

"Go out?" I sat against my desk.

"Yeah. You know when people dress nice and eat fancy." She stood up and came closer to me.

"Ms. Jackson, are you asking me out on a date?" I put my hands on my face and she pulled them down. I was blushing.

"Yes, Ms. Braxton. Will you go out on a date with me tonight?" She kissed my cheek.

"Of course I will." I wanted to jump up and down but I stayed chill.

"Cool. Then when we leave from here, you will need to get all cute and shit. Ok?" She nodded. "I'll be back." I left the office and went to my guys on the floor. They were talking with Jermaine and Michael. "Hey y'all." They turned around excited.

"What did she say?" asked Joey. I made a sad face and their smiles dropped.

"She said yes!"

"AYE!" They cheered and high-fived each other and me. Jermaine ran to the other guys. "Y'all! Toni agreed to the date!" All the men came running up to me.
