"Newbie?" A girl asked Katie as she walked through the door. Katie nodded, feeling self-couscous around the girl. The girl was beautiful. Model thin, blonde hair, brown eyes. Perfection should be her name.

"Cool, I'm Eve. You are?"

Katie stared at the girl for a moment before replying, "Katie. Mind showing me around?"

"Yea, just let me get a shower to wash the paint off me, then we can go down to the dining hall." Eve said as she grabbed her clothes from her small trunk on the floor; an orange jumpsuit.

"I-Is that what we have to wear here?" Katie asked.

Eve nodded, "The headmaster's fashion sense sucks. This is the only thing we are aloud to wear."

Eve only took about a five minuet shower, then came out and brushed her beautiful hair. "Lets go."

Eve brought Katie down many long hallways until they finally arrived at a sloppy mess hall. Eve smiled and led Katie to a table filled with teens chatting away.

Eve cleared her throat. "Guys, this is Katie. She's new here, and my roommate." Eve paused to smile at Katie, "You are to treat her with respect and make her feel welcome."

One boy snickered, "Yes, mum."

The rest joined in on the laughter, making Eve's perfect cheeks turn a light shade of pink.

"Why don't we sit somewhere else?" Katie whispered to her. Eve shook her head, taking a seat at the far end of the table.

"We'll get your jumper later." Eve said to Katie, "It helps if you fit in."

Katie nodded, "Alright." She looked at everyone at the table, "So, if you don't mind me asking, are they all here because of suicide?"

"These people are. Over there," Eve struck her finger to the right, "is the mentally retarded goons. Over there," she struck her finger to the left, "is the badasses. They believe they own the world. Too much drama if you ask me. And over there," she pointed to the back, where sat a lonely boy at a table by himself, "is the killer."

Katie's eyes widened, "Killer?"

"Yea, he's pretty closed up, no one can get him to talk. But the Headmaster told us he tried to kill his mum after a big argument." Eve whispered.

"Does anyone know what they were arguing about?" Katie's voice shook.

Eve shook her head, her blonde hair flying about, "Not a soul."

Katie nodded, "A bit sad, if you ask me. I could never do anything without my mum. Even after she brought me...here."

"Don't worry. You'll warm up to everyone." Eve smiled her brilliant smile, "Just keep your head held high."

Katie smiled a tight smile and nodded.

"And never talk to the killer."

Katie nodded again, even though in her gut, she felt as if she needed to get to know him. No; she HAD to get to know him.
