Katie dropped her bags on the ground, her eyes fixed on the ugly gray walls of the mental compound.
"Lovely." Katie muttered under her breath.
"Katie Bentley?" A man asked her. Katie nodded. "Right this way."
The man picked up her bags and carried them into the felicity, Katie dragging herself behind him. On the inside, the compound was even worse. The paint on the walls were peeled, the walls were smashed in certain places. These next couple months for Katie were going to be hell.
"Your room is down here. Number 152." The man said as he opened the door.
"Is this a mental compound or prison?" Katie asked sarcastically.
"Both. When you get out of here, suicide will be the last thing you want to do. Your roommate isn't here at the moment, since she's at art, but once she is, ask her to show you around. You're lucky. She's a nice one." The man dropped Katie's bags, then turned and slammed the door. Katie sighed and sat on the bed.
Again, she whispered, "Why me?"
