Felix helped his older brother move into his dorm. Minho is a year older and joined the college the previous year but he decided that this year it would be much easier and safer to live on campus which is why the brothers are moving into the dorms on the same day, it's just annoying that they're not rooming together since minho isn't very good at talking to people because he has trust issues.
"Minho-hyung, will you be okay?" Felix asked his brother worriedly as they carried one of Minho's suitcases into the dorm.
"Yeah, I'll be okay, don't worry about me," Minho replied with a small smile.
Felix looked unsure. "I promise, lix. I'll be fine," he assured.
They carried the last of Minho's things into the dorm and then carried Felix's stuff up to his dorm room before bidding goodbye to each other. Minho walked back down to his dorm and started unpacking his things.
As he unpacked the last of his things he collapsed onto his bed, exhausted from having to unpack everything. He lay in bed for a while on his phone when he decided to visit Felix.
It was a short visit but it was late when he got back to his dorm he got ready for bed and collapsed onto the bed and before long he was sound asleep

He was awoken earlier than he would've liked by his phone ringing. He answered "Hello? Who is this?" he asked groggily as he rubbed the sleep out of his eyes.
"This is ***** hospital, are you Lee minho?" A voice replied on the other end of the line. "Y-Yeah, I am. What's wrong?" He replied nervously. "I'm afraid that your mother, Miss Lee, was rushed in this morning and she's been diagnosed with schemic heart disease. She doesn't have very long to live," The nurse replied.
Minho was shocked, to say the least. "O-oh, um... Can I tell my brother first and then we'll see what we want to do?" he asked.
"Yes of course," the nurse said softly.
He hung up. He couldn't believe what he's just been told. He got up and got ready to go to Felix's dorm. He decided to grab a breakfast bar for the short journey.

He knocked and was surprised when Chan opened up. "Hi, I'm Minho. We met briefly yesterday? Felix's brother?" He said as Chan looked him up and down. "Yes, we did. Um, what can I help you with this morning?" he asked Minho politely.
"I came to see Felix. I-Is he around?" Minho asked quietly. Chan nodded "I think he's still sleeping though but you're welcome to come inside and wake him if you'd like, I was just about to start making breakfast."He smiled and opened the door wider to let Minho in.
Minho walked to the bedroom and saw his brother still sleeping. He thought of a way to wake him up and crept towards the bed and jumped onto Felix making the poor boy jump. "UGH, Minho, what are you doing here?" he groaned when he saw it was his brother.
"I need to talk to you. It's important." Minho explained and Felix sat up wanting to know what he meant.
"It's about mum. She's in the hospital and doesn't have very long to live, so I think we should go visit her. I know she may not be the nicest person but she's still our mother. She raised us on her own, we have to give her at least some credit." He explained and Felix finally understood.
"Yeah okay. I think so too," Felix replied as he got out of bed and walked towards the door with Minho following close behind.
Chan noticed them and asked if they were okay. They replied that they were and then thanked him for the food.
Chan left after he ate his breakfast and the lee brothers decided to go visit their mother when the visiting hours started.

Minho drove them to the hospital and they walked up to the reception desk. "Hi how can I help you?" the person asked them. "We're here to visit miss Lee," Minho replied.
"And what is your relation to her?" the person asked. The brothers looked at each other with a confused look. "we're her sons," Felix replied.
"Ok, her room is on the third floor. room 0325," The person smiled and gave them visitor's passes.
They headed up to the room and knocked. "come in," they heard a voice say from inside. They walked in and looked at their mother. "What are you two doing here?" she asked with a sneer. "We came to visit you, be thankful that we did. We know you don't have long to live so we wanted to know where dad is," Felix replied in the same tone their mother had used before.
she gave a light chuckle "oh I'm not going anywhere. These doctors think I'm going to die but I'm not going to, and as for your father... I never liked that man, too much of a kind person so I left him and I have no clue where he lives now nor do I care," she growled back.
They looked at each other with a bored look. "fine, we just wanted to say goodbye. it's not like you ever actually loved us. That just shows how caring we are, goodbye... mum," Minho said before walking out of the door followed by Felix.
"We know she's stubborn, she always was but how can she say she's not going to die when the doctors have already said that she's not going to live long," Felix rambled.
"Felix, it's okay. We know she never really cared about us, she just showed us off to her friends because she was a single mother," Minho replied as they got into his car.

They drove back to the dorms and minho waved goodbye to his brother.
Chan wasn't back yet so Felix went to the room, he couldn't take it much longer and broke down. he felt guilty. guilty because part of him actually wanted his mother to die and he hated that he felt guilty about it.
He heard the front door opening and then a knock on the bedroom door. "Come in,'' Felix replied in a small voice. Chan walked in and said "Hey, I know we don't know each other that well but we're roommates so I hope we can get along. Um, I don't know if I should be asking this but why are you crying? I heard sniffles coming from our room and figured that it must be you..." as he hesitantly walked over to Felix's bed.
"It's okay to ask... I honestly don't even know why I'm crying, but um it's just family stuff..." Felix replied as he rolled over suddenly aware that Chan is seeing his red, puffy eyes but he couldn't bring himself to care.
"is there anything I can do?" Chan asked with a hint of worry in his voice. "I just need some time alone..." Felix replied and chan nodded before getting up and leaving as he closed the bedroom door behind him.
