College move-in day here I come. I'm really nervous because I don't know anyone at the college. I don't know who my roommate is but I'm okay at social interactions. Chan thought to himself as he zoned out of the conversation. Chan was moving into the dorm this year even though he started college last year as he thought it would be easier for his mum to have one less person at the house to look after.
"Chan! Hello?" A voice pulled him out of his daydream. "Yes, sorry mum, what were you saying?" he replied as he smiled awkwardly.
"I said, 'do you want help to bring your things up to your dorm?'" She repeated as she dramatically rolled her eyes. He smiled and nodded.
It took them 5 trips to bring all his bags up to his dorm room on the 4th floor. He took the key he had gotten after he arrived and unlocked the door. He opened it and saw a boy around his age, dragging one of the many suitcases that were in the living room into what he assumed was the bedroom.
He chuckled nervously. "Hi, I'm chan. I'm guessing you're my roommate?" he asked. The boy nodded. "If this is your dorm, which I assume it is because you used a key to unlock it and you have many bags with you- sorry, I'm rambling, I'm a rambler. I'm Felix, nice to meet you," he smiled and scratched the nape of his neck. Chan noticed that he has freckles scattered across his cheeks and nose. He's so cute... chan thought as he looked away from his new roommate.
His mum helped him carry his things into the room. Chan walked her back down to the car park and pulled her in for a big hug. "I'll miss you mum, I'll be sure to introduce my friends to you," He teared up and didn't want to let go.
"Chan, you have to let me go. I've got to go home and make sure that your siblings haven't burnt the house down," she chuckled as she hugged him tighter before letting go and walking to her car.
"be sure to call at least once a week!" Chan yelled to her as she unlocked the car and nodded.
He watched her drive off and waved until he couldn't see her anymore before heading back up to the dorm room.
Felix seemed to have unpacked all of his things and was in the kitchen making some food. Chan dragged his bags into the room so he could unpack.

He put the finishing touches on his side of the room and walked out. It was silent, he walked to the living room, the kitchen and the bathroom, Felix wasn't home. He must've gone out somewhere. Chan shrugged, deciding to get some water and sat on the couch to watch tv.
He heard the door unlock and looked over to see Felix. This time he was with someone else. "Oh, hey chan. This is my brother Minho, he also goes to this college." He smiled. Chan waved at Minho. "I know you, I think we met last year, were you in Mrs Kim's science class?" Minho asked, chan nodded and went back to his tv show.
A while later...
He looked at his phone to check the time. Minho had left about an hour ago. It was 9 pm already?! How?! He got up and went to go to the bathroom but the door was locked. He figured Felix was in there so he just went to the room and lay in bed.
When he heard the bathroom door unlock he got up to go to the bathroom and was faced by Felix. He only had a towel around his waist. He looks really hot. Chan pull yourself together, you only just met him.
Chan shook his head to try and remove those thoughts from his mind and went to the bathroom. His face was red. He took deep breaths to calm his rapid breathing and heart rate. Once he had calmed down, he brushed his teeth and got ready for bed.
Chan walked into the room to see Felix on his phone. He walked over to his bed and threw himself onto it, falling asleep almost instantly.

The next morning he woke up and Felix was still asleep so he grabbed clothes and headed to the bathroom to get ready.
Someone knocks on the door loudly just as he walks out of the bathroom. He hurries to open the door. "Hi, I'm Minho. We met briefly yesterday? Felix's brother?" Chan looked at him properly once he realised who he was. "Yes, we did. Um, what can i help you with this morning?" he asked politely.
"I came to see Felix. I-Is he around?" He replied quietly. Chan nodded "I think he's still sleeping though but you're welcome to come inside and wake him if you'd like, I was just about to start making breakfast." Chan smiled his dimple smile and opened the door wider so he could walk in.
"Thanks, I just really need to talk to him about something," he asked. Chan nodded and walked to the kitchen to give the siblings some privacy.
He chose to make some scrambled eggs, separating some onto three plates. He looked up when he heard the bedroom door opening. They looked slightly sad, Chan knew it wasn't his business but decided to ask anyway "hey, are you two okay?" He asked softly. They nodded.
"I made breakfast for all of us, in case you wanted some..." he gestured to the plates on the table. They smiled and thanked him before digging into their food.
Chan decided to go take a walk around campus to get to know the area since lessons don't start for another week or so.
He grabbed his phone and his dorm keys and walked out.
He looked up at the clear blue sky as he walked past a cafe and bookshops in the area. He tripped over something and fell into someone who was walking in front of him. He held his hand out to help the person up. His eyes widened when he realised who they were. "I could recognise that nose anywhere," he smiled.
"Who-WAIT! CHAN? OMG, I MISSED YOU, its been forever" he yelled and pulled Chan into a tight hug. They walked to a bench and started talking about what's been going on in their lives since they last saw each other.
It was around 4 pm when they stopped and decided to catch up later on in the week. They exchanged numbers and promised to text each other.
Chan was so happy as he walked back to the dorm. He walked in and heard soft noises coming from the bedroom. He walked over and knocked. "Come in,'' he heard Felix's small voice say. He opened the door to see Felix curled up in bed facing the wall.
"Hey, I know we don't know each other that well but we're roommates so I hope we can get along. Um, I don't know if I should be asking this but why are you crying? I heard sniffles coming from our room and figured that it must be you..." Chan hesitantly walked over to Felix's bed and crouched next to his head.
He rolled around to look at him and his heart hurt seeing Felix's red, puffy eyes. "It's okay to ask... I honestly don't even know why I'm crying, but um it's just family stuff..." he said quietly. Chan nodded in understanding "is there anything I can do?" He asked. Felix smiled a soft but hurt smile before he replied. "I just need some time alone..."
Chan nodded and left the room and closed the door behind him. I really hope he's okay, he thought as he went to sit on the couch to watch some tv but he couldn't stop thinking about how hurt Felix looked.
