"-city wide protests have erupted in response to the passing of the most recent law by mayor Justcia; the expected impact on the economy are predicted to be-" Roger Greyson stares blankly at the TV. Economy? Protests? The words went over his head completely. He was stuck mindlessly looking at the news for something interesting to watch, but he'd exhausted all good chanels when he binge watched all of them a few weeks ago, whilst having a sleepover with his friends. "Roger! Get your ass of that couch and into that bus!" Roger hurriedly got up and snatched his bag, then left his room quickly. He saw his mother, who was taping one of her feet on the floor impatiently. "Your gonna be the death of me one day boy....I had to stall the bus driver for 15 minutes! Hurry up and get on that bus!" Roger gets shoved out of the house and into the cold snowy street. He could see plenty of well designed snow men, although the one infront of his house was slightly misshapen and bulky, likeley due to his lack of experience when it comes to snowman creation.
The bus ride to school was the same as always. Stare out the window and ingore the conversation around you. Maybe listen a few times if your were bored. The usual gossip floated around the atmosphere of the bus- "Did you hear? Eddie got expelled for yelling at Mr Jackson!" "OHMYGOD reeeeeally? Isnt Eddie chill though?" "Apparently Mr Jackson tried to-" That conversation quickly went to whispers. "Weve got our exams next week...I haven't revised at all" "Sucks to be you I guess :p" Roger giggled slightly at that remark.
After a quite boring bus ride, roger arrived at school. Not seeing his friends anywhere, he decided to walk to his registration class, his boots making a slight crunch in the thin layer of snow. St. Edwards Comprehensive School was the same as any other secondary school; it had stereotypical popular boys, chav armies and witty nerds, which, of course, were all separated into different cliques and clans. Roger believes that he belongs in the most "weird" friend group because of the variety in personalities between its members, sometimes it even felt like it was two groups smashed into one. Roger arrivws at his reg room, with the comforting embrace of room temperature meeting his face, along with the cheery demeanour of Mrs Drant. "Goodmorning, Roger. Coping with revision well?" Roger replies, in an unsure tone "I think...im finding it difficult to understand some things...Algebra is most difficult by far, but im slowly getting better." Mrs Drant smiles; "Dont stress yourself too much, youll do great."
Roger went to sit in his seat, Lous wasn't here yet so he did some drawings to pass the time. They were mostly of animals, foxes with large and fluffy tails in particular, but the occasional dinosaur or lizard would be drawn next to it, but Roger hasnt got enough confidence yet to draw scaly animals all the time. Roger endured the usual mental health talk and questionare that haunted him every morning, then quietly did his meditation whilst some calming music played. Even though the meditation was meant to be done with closed eyes, Roger always kept one eye open, out of curiousty and needing to be aware of his surroundings.
There was a weird tingling on his backbone and wrists. Roger couldnt pin it exactly, but it felt like pins and needles so he decided to ingore it while he could, but it slowly grew in intensity bit by bit, until it was unbearable and became excruciatingly itchy. It spread down his legs, up his chest and arrived in his head, where it turned into an unbearable headache. Roger felt...fluffy...warm...and good as he collapsed backwards along with a few other students.
A tail sprouted out of his back. The last thing roger felt before he became unconscious was the warm embrace of a new coat of fur.
