Within a mystical world called Alora, Vanito, a robotic Eevee lives peacefully in the Luminian cities. Though something goes wrong during all this, as the wise Alolan Ninetails, Tentatio, isn't here to celebrate with Vanito. As questions brew in his mind of where his wise friend could be, he accidentally comes in contact with an ancient plague that has loomed in a restricted area for many thousands of years. His world crumbling-or rather, his perception of the world crumbling, Vanito has to find a solution to the virus corrupting his code. This is a mini story that takes place within Alora in "Shattered Shadows." All the events that take place in this book ARE canon to that story. Don't worry, you don't have to read Shattered Shadows first, as the experience should not be hindered with in any way! Go ahead and begin with either if you're planning to read both! For clarification, yes, despite the Pokémon being Protogens, they still walk the same way the non-Protogen version does. So if the Pokemon is quadrupedal, then that character will be quadrupedal. The main purpose of this story is to expand upon the world of Alora, since I'm kinda struggling to incorporate it into the main story... sowwy... The year is 1918, the Great War is raging on with neither sides showing signs of breaking. This story takes place during the Battle of Passchendaele, a battle that has been raging on since the summer of 1917. Due to the rapid decrease in manpower, the British parliament has passed a bill allowing the usage of its secret creation; The Protogens. Development started as early as 1901, but it wasn't until 1912 that the first successful protogen was made. They were produced in the masses at the start of 1913, by the time the Great War broke out, almost 20,000 were made for use of the Royal Navy and the Army. Unbeknownst to the British however, the Germans had already started producing Protogens in mid-1912 having around 21,000 by the start of the war, with a few hundred serving the Austria-Hungarian, Russian and Ottoman armies. Being created from 'Furries' whom were either extremely disabled or voluntarily handed themselves to be created into one. Our main character goes by the serial number 'SP-451', better known by his comrades as 'Sparky', an officer in the British army, serving as a captain in the 28th Canine Battalion, a battalion made entirely out of Furries and Protogens. Highly respected by his comrades because of his bravery and for always standing up for his comrades when they are berated by their human comrades just for being different. P.S this takes place in an alternate timeline and I am well aware that the Great War ended in 1918

It isn't long until she finds that living alone isn't as easy as she thought it'd be. Fortunately, she has her three new friends and neighbors, Geoffrey, Dorothy and Kingsley, to help her along and keep her company. Just as she's getting on her feet however, an alien robot that not even the tech-savvy Geoffrey can recognize falls from the sky and becomes yet another responsibility for the poor girl to deal with. Just her luck, am I right? (THE ART ON THE COVER IS BY NINJARA/FRAB ON ARMS AMINO! THEY ARE AWESOME!)
