Synthetic Love(protogen × protogen)

New beginning

Its dark. The encapsulating warmth yet frailty of a blanket surrounds Roger on a bed. Its somewhat comforting, to just sit there and do nothing, while you juts rest, not having to worry about anything. But time moves on. Awakening from his slumber, Roger feels different, but its difficult to pinpoint because of his tiredness. His vision is tinted slightly blue, and he seems to be in a...hospital? Where..am I? Is the only thought going through Rogers head as he observes his surroundings. Did an accident happen..? I remember going to school....Its so fuzzy... The room Roger is in is quite tranquil. The light brushing of the curtains in the air as a gentle breeze makes its way through the window and brushes up against Roger, further increasing the harmonious atmosphere of this room. Roger gets up to inspect his environment more closely; A magazine of some sort rests on the bedside table, worn from the past residents of this room, and theres a vase of daffodils next to them. 

In a moment of lethargy, Roger trips over...something? He could feel what he was tripling over, and instinctively made a quiet squeal from the hurt. Wait..how the fuck did i just feel what im tripping over?  In a moment of panic, Roger stares down in amazement and bewilderment at a long, thick and fluffy tail, which at closer inspection and confusion appears to connect to the base of Rogers tailbone! Alarmed and confused, Roger inspects other parts of his body and finds that they have been...fluffifed? His legs have become slightly longer, and have fluff all over them, with metal hip guards beginning at the start of the knee, and continuing to the base of the chest. Rogers lower chest was also made more fluffy, with two distinct colours, white on the front and blue on his back and sides. His hands and feet now had vicious looking claws that seemed to glow a bright blue, producing a small amount of light, similar to a glow stick. His arms had been floofed with the same colour scheme as his chest, and with shoulder guards made of metal, with a blank space for a symbol of some sort located on the middle of the pads. His neck was slightly shorter, but the impressive amount of blue and white fluff concealed that fact. Roger couldn't see his face because there were no mirrors in his room, but he felt something like hard plastic and two large, curved ears that seemed to flick and twitch on their own. 

Due to the shock of what just happened, Roger was slightly stunned. Apart from inspecting his new body, he stood like a statue in the middle of the room, lost in thought and anxiety.

Suddenly, the door swung open violently, and an army of footsteps rapidly entered the room.
???: "So anothers woken up huh..."

The group of people consisted of 5 people, 3 in lab coats and 2 in formal suits.

???2: "This specimen seems to have gained a more robotic appearance then usual from others. Perhaps it has something to do with the event?"

The person who just spoke seemed to have a hoarse and dry voice...It seemed as if they were stressed.

???3: "Do not be alarmed. Something...happened to you and we're trying our best to fiqure what happened."

Roger did not respond to these comments, just staring in confusion and shock. His long tail curled around his leg and twitched.

???3: "Would you like to..come outside for a second?"

Roger nodded slowly, stepping towards the group of people hesitantly, and out of the door of his room into the claustrophobic halls of the hospital. Starngly...he did not see humans. But a variety of strange and unique...creatures? 

(Sorry for the long update period, the first chapter was basically just a joke for my friendgroup but I thought it would be nice to come back and finish this project. Im surprised by the amount of reads i got on the first chapter so thank you guys for the interest ^w^)
