Chapter twenty-six: Text Message

I eat next to Aizawa and sigh.

"What's wrong with you?" Aizawa asks. "Oh, nothing. I'm just tired," I say, finishing my food and getting up. "I'm going to go to bed," I say and Aizawa looks at me with a raised eyebrow. "Really? It's only 7," He says. "Well, I'm just going to rest then," I say, waving goodbye. Aizawa only says ok as I walk away.

I take out my phone as I walk and reread the text message.

"Hiya Bunbun! So you probably already know this but we're coming," the text message from 'Dumb Fox' says.

I text back, "Yeah... I know."

I wait for his reply as I open the door to where my sleeping bag is. I shut the door behind me and go over where it is. I sit down and hear my phone go off again.

"I need you to hide. If they find you then run," He texts back.

"I shouldn't... I can't just let them do what they are going to do," I text back.

"Don't do anything stupid Bunbun. Don't get yourself mixed up in this. Stay away. Stay as far away as you can," He texts back and I scoff.

"Don't call me that and don't tell me what to do," I text back.

"Stop being a pain in the ass," He texts.

I roll my eyes, "I'm not... You are."

"Wow! Very mature," He texts and I don't respond.

"Please, stay away. I need you to stay away," He texts after a minute of me not responding.

"No," I start to type but I stop myself from sending it. I delete it and type, "Fine."

I send it and wait for his reply.

"If.. and I mean If you are in trouble... follow the blue flames to find me," He finally sends his text after a couple of minutes of seeing him type and not typing.

I laugh, "Wow, my knight in shining armor! Come rescue me and take me away!"

"I would if I was one," He responds.

"You could become one if you want to be," I want to text but don't... It would sound stupid and cheesy.

"You are more like the love interest in that trope where the person would destroy everything in their path just to get to them," I send but then regret it.

That is probably also very stupid and cheesy.

"You read too many romantic books and fanfictions," He responds with a laughy emoji.

"You're not wrong," I respond.

He leaves me on read.
