Knowing the location of Tommy was helpful, but that doesn't mean they can bring him back yet. Knowing the rabbit would run away every time they tried they had to think smart, even if it hurt the longer he was away from them.

They thought about breaking down the stone wall around the entrance to the cave, but the loose stones might accidentally hit Tommy. The noise would hurt his ears since he'd only be able to fit inside in his rabbit form. Plus, it didn't work out too well for the big bad wolf in the story.

A member of chat suggested to injure him and catch him that way, and it was imminently shot down by everyone, even the rest of chat. Tommy didn't trust them when they had done nothing to him, but he'd fear them more if they hurt him.

So, they decided on a trap. They would place a net outside the cave that would close, and similar to the one they saw him get caught on when trying to catch him, it would pull him up into the air.

It seemed like the perfect plan. Knowing that it would work Techno went out to set it up while the other two stayed behind. Tommy would be more scared at seeing Philza then he would be either of the twins, and Wilbur was fixing up the nest and Tommy proofing the house. That left Techno to retrieve the kit.

Techno was more skilled at hunting then the others, so if Tommy was able to escape he'd have an easier time tracking him down. The wolf was also better at setting up traps and knew first aid, so if something went wrong Tommy would be ok.

And so Techno went to get the kit.

Crawling out of the cave, I look around before shifting into my human form and collecting berries and roots. It's been a week since I ran from the wolves. The scent from when they changed me here has faded, but I'm still scared they'll find me. They did see where I hid after all.

I knew I had to leave the burrow soon or else they'd catch him. So, I was collecting food to take with him on the journey. Using the leftover fabric from my cut up flannel I made a bag, using some vines I found to hold it together.

With the bag I put as much roots and grass as I could fit into it, as well as a rock that kinda looked like a bee. I found the rock two days earlier and named it James. Taking one last look at my burrow, I race east along the river, resting besides it and drinking water when needed.

The sun was setting by the time I finally stopped. Between a few bushes I dig out a small burrow in my hybrid form. Putting my bag next to me I curl up, starting to feel hopeful that I could escape as I drifted asleep.

Walking to the cave I saw Tommy disappear into, I shift into my human form so he doesn't know I'm near. 'Time to do some sketchy shit, do da do da-' 'no, it's not sketchy if it's getting rabbinnit back home' 'hmmm...' Sushing chat, I go to set up the net to trap him safely and get him back when I notice something's off. His scent is fading.

Peeking inside I notice he's gone and there's nothing left in the hole. I panic, looking around to try and catch his scent again. Tommy is lost- I don't know we're he is. Has he been taken by a predator? 'He's gone-?!' What if he's trapped? 'Child dead' Is it too late to save him- 'NOOOO'

My concerned thoughts and the voices were cut off. I could smell his scent. 'Get the child' 'E' 'Rabbit' Immediately I shifted and followed it, listening to the first voice.

Little rabbit, we'll have you back soon...
