Run Little Rabbit (We're Playing Hide and Seek)

I could hear the scratching of paws digging into the burrow, towards where I was. Before I could try to dig a way out or hide sharp teeth bit into my scruff and pulled me out of the ground. Without thinking I reacted quickly, kicking the predator he maw.

Being released, I fell to the floor and quickly got to my feet before running off, trying to escape the carnivore. My heart pounds in my chest, even harder than it did when I ran before.

I was dodging between the trees and bushes, the predator was always right behind me, I could feel their teeth nick my furr. My heart was pounding on my chest as I tried to think of a way to escape the creature.

I could shift into my human form, but I'd be bigger and have a harder time hiding if I find somewhere they can't get to me. I could try going back to the cave, but it's far away and there's not enough time.

So, I continued running in my rabbit form, trying to get away from the hunter, which I was able to identify as a Fox. I was screwed.

One misstep and the next thing I knew the fox was pinning me to the ground, growling with a look of hunger. I flinched when they were going to go for the kill, before the air became tense and something launched into the predator.

I watched in fear as the fox fought the black furred attacker. They were slashing their claws against the other's skin, tearing at it. It was hard to tell who was going to win and eat me until the dark furred creature pinned down the fox. An almost identical scene to how the fox pinned me down.

The fox's ears were pressed hard against the side of their head. The dark furred creature, which I realized was a wolf from how identical they looked to Phi- ...the monster... with the same expression it had when killing the prey not so long ago.

The wolf got off the fox and walked towards me, staring with worry and fear in their blood red eyes. I could move, couldn't run, as the wolf grabbed me by my scruff and started carrying me away from we're the fox was, looking mad that they're meal had been stolen.

Having no way to escape and being in shock, I closed my eyes in hopes of falling asleep. Maybe I won't be awake when the dark wolf kills me...
