"ETHAN!" I closed my eyes at the familiar voice and quickly picked up my pace. I could hear her following after me but paid her no mind. I couldn't stand her. Not after what happened between us two years ago.
"Ethan!" She yelled again before a petite hand grabbed my arm forcing me to stop in my tracks. I could feel the eyes of the other students on us and I clenched my jaw.
"What do you want, Julia?" I asked turning to fade the girl who I had once upon a time been in love with and had thought she felt the same way only to find her fucking one of my opponents two years ago in the locker room. I was livid to say the least but I didn't do anything until we hit the ring where I let my fist rain punches down on his face over and over again.
The win went to me. I didn't feel like a winner that day because I felt betrayed and hurt by the girl I loved. Yes, I know I was only 16 but at that time I thought I was in love with her but I guess it was what people call puppy love because after that incident, I never once thought of her.
"You," she replied and I gave a humorless laugh, "I know I messed up two years ago but can you blame me? I was 16 years old and stupid."
"When two people are in a relationship like we were, there was no need for you to go and fuck someone else. Specially on the day of a fight like the one I had. I was hurt and ashamed that day Julia that I wanted nothing more than to hide. You were my first girlfriend and most definitely the last." I said adding, "I want nothing to do with you. Like you said, we were 16 and stupid. It took a while to realize that breaking up was the best thing to happen to me because I was able to put my all into my fights, training and growing as a fighter."
She stared at me with wide, tear filled eyes making me roll mine, "and save the crocodile tears for someone who will actually fall for them. I was dumb once to fall for them but not anymore." With that said, I turned on my heel and walked away.

"Saw you talking with that bitch," Sam said the second she sat down across from me at the table with her tray of food.
"I was," I said nodding my head and she narrowed her eyes. Sam has always hated Julia at first I hated the fact that they couldn't get along no matter how hard I tried and now it made sense. Sam saw behind Julia's innocent face and could see the type of person she truly was while I was stupid to see it.
"What the fuck did she want?"she asked before stuffing her burger into her mouth making me raise a brow, while Liam rolled his eyes.
"Can we skip to the good part?" He asked making me raise a brow. "The good part being that Mitch and the others that were involved in Noah's assault are going to court."
"Thank Jesus," Sam said after swallowing her food, "it's about damn time those assholes got what they deserved. They have been tormenting Noah since he came out sophomore year."
"They've been reported to the principal so many times that I lost count," Liam said running his fingers through his hair, "but the principal doesn't do shit. All he's ever said is that he'll 'look into it' bullshit I say."
"There's so much we can do to keep Noah safe but you saw what happened yesterday," Sam said. "He was alone for probably not even a second before they jumped him."
Just then there was an announcement whiting the cafeteria's chatter.
Good afternoon, boys and girls, I heard the principal's voice greet due to unforeseen circumstances, you are to remain in place until I give you the all clear. I zoned him off after that not wanting to hear him bullshit the whole thing with Noah, Mitch and his goonies.
I turned my head towards the floor to ceiling window and saw all the students looking in the same direction. There were five police cars parked outside the school with one officer speaking with Principal Gomez while the other officers escorted all five teens-Mitch, Bradly, Luis, Santiago and Justin—out of the school in cuffs. All five had their heads down as they were led to their respective cruisers.
"Oh shit," Sam whispered across from me, "Noah's dad wasn't kidding was he?"
"No,he was not." Liam said.
"Good," she stated before turning back to her food. "They deserved to get hell for what they did to Noah this morning."
"They will, I have a feeling that Mom is going to be the prosecutor on the case and she's the best when it comes to shit like this."
"She's fucking awesome," Sam agreed making me chuckle, "do you think they'll call us as witnesses since we were the ones who saw the whole thing down?"
I shrugged,"Don't know."
We didn't get to go to class until half half past and all I could hear were whispers of the students talking about the scene they had witnessed at lunch. Some had the fucking audacity to blame Noah for getting jumped by Mitch and his friends while others were saying stuff along the lines of "they finally got what they deserved. Noah doesn't deserve what happened to him."
Most of the students had been afraid of standing up to Mitch and his goonies in fear of getting beaten by them. I also happen hear that there were a few others that had spoken to the principal and had been given the same answer as to what Sam said at Lunch.
"Mr. González I presume?" The teacher asked when I walked in and I nodded. "You'll be seating next to Levi and Noah—when he returns—right over there. Levi raise your hand," the teacher and the same boy from this morning raised his hand and I nodded before walking to the back of the room and sitting in one of the empty chairs.
"Hey again," he said with a charming smile.
"Hi, um, sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier," I said but he waved me off.
"It's no problem." He whispered before adding, "I'm Levi, thank you for stepping in and helping Noah this morning."
"It was nothing." I answered and he nodded, "it was something any normal human should've done."
"Agreed."
Class dragged on after that and before we knew it, the bell rang singling the end of the period. Levi and I gathered our things before we exited the room, "See you around, Ethan."
"See you around, Levi."
