Demy Stark curled deeper into her comforter. After yesterday's meeting it was decided the Avengers were going to reassemble.
"I know you're mad." Steve said, walking in.
"I'm not mad." Demy replied.
"Dem, something's bothering you." Steve closed the door and sat on the bed near her legs. "I've spent the last six years with you, I know when something's wrong."
"I don't want to lose you or my dad." Demy sat up and pulled her legs to her chest. "I'm scared."
Steve pulled her into his arms. "You won't lose me, Demy." His hand rested on her baby bump. "After this baby is born, I'll leave the team. We can take the baby and Gage and move somewhere far away from this."
Demy leaned back into him. "You're a superhero, Cap. No matter where we go that won't change."
"I can change, Demy."
"That's the thing. I don't want you to." Demy turned to face Steve. "You're the super-soldier, a man out of time, Captain America, and Steve Rogers. I would never want you to give up part of yourself." She tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. "We'll make it work."
Steve smiled and kissed Demy's forehead. "I love you Demy."
"I love you too Steve."

Bucky sat in front of a computer.
"Doing some research?" A voice asked behind him.
"You said it yourself, something's wrong with this."
Clint moved to sit next to Bucky. "Do you even know how to work a desktop. Thing's slow as hell." He hit a few buttons and leaned back. "So what're you looking for."
"She was smart enough to keep everything out of the tower, but I doubt she would keep everything stored somewhere she can't access it. Anything she added or would have had access to."
---
Tony paced back and forth in front of Demy's door. Inside was one of two possibilities: Demy welcomed him back, or she kicked him out forever. Hesitantly he knocked on the door.
"Hey, Tony." Demy said, pulling the door open. "Gage is down with Bruce in the lab if you're looking for him."
"I actually came here to talk to you."
Demy opened the door wider and Tony walked in. It almost looked like a battleground. A tiny, toy covered battleground. TMNT action figures littered the ground along with green Army Men. The only seemingly clean part of the apartment was the closed door at the other end.
"Sorry, it's a mess. Gage wanted to be the Hulk today." Demy sheepishly closed the door and kicked some of the toys out of the way. "So,uh, what do you want to talk about?"
"I wanted to apologize for lea-"
"It's fine. I'm over it." Demy said, placing a stack of movies on a shelf. "Gage on the other hand, if you want to apologize, he's the one you should talk to. Not that he remembers."
A sense of déjà vu washed over him. When he and Kristin had first gotten together, she would speak in the same bitter tone when something would bother her. The same bitter tone that lead to their eventual downward spiral.
"Hey, bab-" Steve stepped out from behind the closed door. He stopped when he saw Tony. He was only in a pair of jeans.
Tony put two-and-two together and began to feel his blood pressure rising. "You're with the ice cube." He hissed, causing Demy to step back into the wall.
"Tony, calm down." Steve said, holding a hand out like he was trying to calm a wild animal. He slowly made his way to Demy, who moved behind him without a second thought. "It's not what you think."
"So, you're not screwing my daughter? If that isn't what's happening then please, Captain, enlighten me."
Demy heard the door open and her head snapped to her brother. "Gage, hey kiddo." She said, gladly walking away from the situation. "Wanna go for a walk to find Auntie Natasha?"
Gage nodded and grabbed Demy's hand. "Stevie, are you coming?"
"No, I have to talk to your dad. I'll make it up to you tonight, we'll watch Toy Story." Steve said, without taking his eyes off of Tony.
A grin spread across Gage's face. "C'mon Demy, the faster we go the faster bedtime comes!" He exclaimed, tugging on Demy's hand.
Not even a second after they had exited the room Tony laid a punch on Steve. "Don't ever touch my daughter again."
Steve touched his nose tenderly. "You can't just come in and control everything, Stark. You were gone for five years."
"So you moved in on my kid?"
"No, I had Gage with me and eventually we became a thing Tony. You would have known if you had been here."
"Don't act like this is my fault, Rogers."
"Isn't it Tony?" Steve asked, stepping around Tony and out of the apartment.
Tony rolled his eyes. Who did Steve think he was? Tony walked into the room Steve had previously exited. It was small, with a queen sized bed, two nightstands, and a dresser. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary except for a book peeking out from underneath the bed. Tony stepped closer and lifted the book from the floor.
"1001 Baby Names? Wh-" tony dropped the book. "I'm going to kill Rogers."
