My plan for the rest of the Hoenn Region's contest circuit this year was a simple one.
It was just two months into the pokémon contest circuit here in Hoenn. I had another ten months to get my two remaining ribbons, so I was anything but worried. I did plan to earn them quickly, though. As in, within the next month kind of quickly. That way I would definitely have an entire three quarters of a year in preparation for this year's Grand Festival.
I swore then and there to spend all of that time wisely. I had plans to attend and study every contest following all of my final two wins and work with my pokémon to create strategies and combinations which would help me win the Grand Festival's coveted Ribbon Cup and guarantee my place among the world's best coordinators. Maybe, I even wanted to build my pokémon team a little more.
My plan for this year's contest circuit was pure foolproof. I could just picture it. I was going to earn my title of Top Coordinator in the Grand Festival here in Hoenn before Soledad even had the chance to earn hers in the Kanto Grand Festival. Of course, it was not like I had always hoped to beat her to the title of Top Coordinator, but I could always dream of it, nonetheless.
I thought back about Soledad following such thoughts. Soledad was not only the very coordinator I had met at the beginning of my contest career, but she also occasionally took time out of her own busy schedule to mentor me about contests more than even my own parents ever actually cared to. I could just imagine how proud she would be that day. When the student would finally surpass the teacher.
