Chapter 12: Ones True Self

I had waited in the train for a while, but it mostly quiet, we had already passed the first station but I hadn't encountered anyone.

I just ate, progressed and slept until I was finally able to encounter someone.

I arrived in a large dark room.

And I saw a large group of people... one I recognised as Bam.

"BAM!!" I yelled from the other side, the party turned to look at me all looking surprised.

"Gisawa you made it!" Khun yelled back as I rushed over.

"Thank god you guys are here, I haven't talked to anyone in ages!" I exclaimed "So whats the situation?"

"Bam is going to have to fight another slayer candidate known as Hoaqin in order to survive." Khun explained "But apparently you also have to fight him."

"The fuck?!" I yelped in surprise "Why me??" I rubbed my chin.

"I have no clue." Khun replied.

"Anyways whos that?" I asked pointing to the massive figure behind me.

"He's the God of Guardians." A red haired guy replied.

"Ah..." I let out "Yeah, no that means nothing to me." I turned back to them.

"I want to challenge the god of guardians." Bam stated.

"Are dumb or just fucking special?" I asked him "Please tell me you feel the massive amount of strength coming from him."

"Bam you're being reckless! You don't have to fight him!" Khun yelled at Bam.

"Its okay, I'm sure I'll regret it later if I don't do this." Bam spoke.

"This isn't some joke." The red haired guy intervened "There has been no amount of D-Rank Regulars that have been able to defeat the God of Guardians, it wouldn't even be possible if we all fought together."

"I know that, I can feel the vibration of shinsu now, but for some reason..." Bam spoke "... I want to go there. I feel like I'll regret it if I don't." He started stepping forwards towards the Guardian.

"Bam!!" Khun yelled.

"Sachi shouldn't we stop him?" Boro asked Red Hair who I now knew was Sachi.

"I'm not sure... maybe... he has some conviction, I don't know what kind of feeling he's talking about but... since we've cone this far, lets trust him." Sachi spoke.

As Bam got in front of him he suddenly stood up, this caused an uproar among the group, I peered back at the group before returning my gaze to Bam and the Guardian.

"What do you want, kid?" The massive guardian questioned Bam.

Suddenly he leapt from his stand towards Bam, Khun assembled his lighthouses around Bam as I rushed forward unsheathing Black Snakehead.

The Guardian crashed down in front of Bam.

"Are you guys the ones who 'Opened the gate yourself to come in?'" Guardian asked.

"How do you know that?" I outwardly asked.

The Guardian swung his fist forward shattering Khuns lighthouse shield.

I brung my sword up and barely blocked his fist but I was recoiled back causing me to crash into the floor.

"You have something weird hanging on your back, kid." The Guardian spoke his eyes directed at Bam "Is it because of that thing?" He asked himself "No, its not." He answered his own question "You're different, you're not like any regular from the start."
