Since I have literally nothing to do with my life I have decided to continue, for no apparent reason.
Sophie broke eye contact with him as soon as Biana tugged her out of view from him. She then latched onto her and Dex and forced them through the never-ending halls until they reached a room labelled 'Headmasters Office'.
Biana tucked away the map that she had used to get us there and then knocked assertively on the door. Sophie stood there gripping the walls as if that was the only thing keeping her upright, and they probably were. After what felt like a century, Principal Leto had opened the doors and ushered them into his office. She took a good look at the room and decided she hated it: the spacious room; the high-class chandelier; the oak desk and furnishings; the showy armchairs around the room; the ritzy (couldn't help myself, means fancy basically) paintings that hung from the walls; quite literally everything. Surprisingly, Dex was the first in, positioning himself in a checkered armchair, by itself it probably could have cost a hundred dollars, followed by Biana and a reluctant Sophie, who took neighbouring chairs.
"Welcome to Foxfire Academy, for those prodigies who excel in their learning and those who strive to be excellent!" Principal Leto announced, followed by a series of speeches that Sophie had zoned out to. She only returned to consciousness by a jolt from Biana poking her in the arm, signalling they were meant to go out.
"Sophie, seriously," Biana had muttered when they walked out, "couldn't have listened? Ugh. ANYWAYS, me and you are sharing a dorm -obviously- and Dex is sharing with this guy called ...what was it again 'Feefe?', 'Keese?', well whoever it was is apparently the only guy to have a roommate be kicked out like 10 times so Dex has his work cut out for him. And that's all. Oh, wait here's your schedule."
Sophie tried to make sense of what Biana had said and she took her own schedule, cursing under her breath when she saw it - way to make it real she thought. Both Biana and Sophie walked into their dorm together, marvelling at it: a GIGANTIC two-room apartment, that overlooked the school and had an amazing view of the scenery that surrounds it.
"Which room do ya want?" Sophie asked and her answer was Biana clamouring to the closer room, which left Sophie with the further one, which looked fit for a princess. She opened the door to find a majestic-looking bed draped with trendy leaves and aesthetic lights.
(imagine this but larger)
She spent her time sticking up her band posters and her polaroids of her friends, along with some CDs to match the vibe. Once she finished that, she opened her enormous, walk-in closet and started filling it with her clothes; she found three sets of uniforms already hanging in her cupboard and dreaded the fact that tomorrow she would have to wear it. The uniforms were a blazer, plain white shirt, beige school tie, pleated skirt and tights - on second thought the uniform itself didn't look too bad but the fact she had to wear it made her stomach lurch.
Once Sophie was done with the final touches of her room, she met up with Biana in the common area in between their dorms. There was already a comfy L-shaped sofa and the largest TV screen one could have ever seen. It felt too good to be true and currently, it was too good to be true. They called Dex over and tried to make sense of what was happening, and how three ordinary teens had ended up at this school, where they obviously didn't belong.
Everything was happening in a blur and a sickening pull in her stomach commanded that she eat something, so Sophie went about dumbly wandering the corridors of the huge school trying to find some sort of vending machine or cafeteria. But, she had realised that she had no idea where she was going and found herself lost in the sea of halls, of empty halls.
"You must be lost..." a voice plunged into her mind and made her jump back a step and she realised it came from a boy, the boy.
