Kumagawa Misogi has died. This was not a new occurance, however being in a completly white room with a jersey wearing normal and a blue themed self-proclaimed goddess was.
The mansion was a bit emptier today. Darkness went to make sure Alexi won't bother them again. Kumagawa wasn't really worried about her, the fat man was too much of a coward to try anything.
Kazuma was worried. In his mind, it was clear that Darkness would actually want that. That girl had no hope.
Unfortunately, they got on a bit of financial problem once again. As a solution, they went out to take a quest, they came back at the old toad quest. They also happened to meet Sena who came to supervise them.
It went as well as you'd expect. Megumin obliterated a toad with explosion, but was swallowed by another. Aqua was running from another toad.
Sena:...Does it usually gies like this?
Kumagawa:[Pretty much.]
Kazuma:Hm, this is a good time to try it.
Kazuma fixed his bow and arrow. His eyes shined as his new skill was activated.
Kazuma:Snipe!
The arrow traveled forward with frightening accuracy. It went straight through the circle from Aqua's hair and hit the toad in the head. Unfortunately, it did not do any damage and Aqua ended up swallowed anyway.
Kazuma:...That did not go as I was expecting it to.
Kumagawa:[It still hit. Only if you had a bigger arrow. Or even better, a spear.]
Kazuma:I'm not sure if Snipe would even work on a spear. Who even throws spears as a battle tactic?
Kumagawa:[Eh, it went well for Gilgamesh.]
Looking at the toad, he saw it had theird degree burns and it's body spasmed. Aqua, who cane out of the amphibian's corpse, didn't look any better. Looks like Ei took care of it.
Aqua:...Again. Why are you alwais doing this to me.
Ei:It wouldn't happen so often if you weren't getting swallowed by toads so often.
Aqua:Well, I can't...
She didn't get to finish her sentence because she was seized by a toad's toungue and swallowed once again. All four remaining people stared at the toad.
Kazuma:...It's like she has some kind of affinity for them.
Kumagawa:[It's that because she's a goddess of water. Toads spend most of their lives around water.]
Kazuma:Maybe.
Nyx:How about you make yourself usefull?
Ei:That's right. You made problems for us with that arrest, so that's the least you could do.
Sena:Huh? I'm not even part of your party, don't get me inv...
She has meet the same fate as Aqua did moments ago. Kazuma sighed and unshealthered his sword with a "I'm getting really tired of this shit" attitude.
However, he didn't need to do anything. A blade of lightning came from their right and cut the toads, freeing both Aqua and Sena. Ei gave a mildly annoyed glare.
On the side of his view, Kumagawa recognized a toad as the one who swallowed Megumin. Pillar-like screws erupted from the ground and impaled the toad, freeing Megumin by dropping her out of it's mount.
The minus than turned his head, like the rest of the group has done, to see a girl with features similar with Megumin's, but much taller and developed. Her name was Yunyun.

She made a pose, pointing at Megumin. Even so, she looked quiet embarassed by it.
Yunyun:I've finnaly found you! Megumin, my rival!
Megumin:...Who might you be, I wonder?
Yunyun:H-huh!?
Kazuma:Oi, you don't know her?
Megumin:I was only joking. She's Yunyun, a rare type of crimson demon that's embarassed of doing our rituals. She auto-proclaimed herself as my rival and was alwais coming to challenge me.
Yunyun:T-that's right! Today we'll settle the score, Megumin!
Megumin:Haah. Very well. Let us engage in close quarter combat, than.
Yunyun:Eh?
Yunyun's face froze for a moment. It's like she heard something she couldn't believe.
Yunyun:I'm surprised. You alwais missed the martial arts class. Than at the lunch break you'd come, defeat me and steal my lunch.
Kumagawa:[Ah, what a beautiful friendship.]
Nyx:Eh? Isn't that just bullying, master?
Kumagawa:[No, it can't be. I was also doing the same thing with Zenkichi-chan in middle school.]
Nyx:Ah, so it's some kind of deeper bond between humans. I see, I see...
Kazuma looked over at them. No, no it wasn't. Kumagawa just liked to mess with Zenkichi.
The two girls took their positions. Megumin was waving her hands around, while Yunyun looked a little anxious.
Yunyun:...Um, Megumin...you're still a little sparkling.
Megumin:You see, Yunyun, I believe taht friends should share their pain.
The explosion obssesed loli said that with a angelic smile, which only served to frigten Yunyun further. She began to run from Megumin who was following her to get slime on her.
Kumagawa:[Sheesh, that thing won't come off easily.]
Kazuma:Yeah, at least we have that Japanese styled bath back home.
Kumagawa:[Yep.]
The next day, they went to Wiz's shop to buy supplies. There Yunyun, who wasn't covered in slime anymore, awaited from them.
Yunyun:So we meet again, Megumin! It seems fate has us intertwined, you truly are my rival!
Wiz:Ah, welcome everyone! She wanted to know where you lived to visit.
Yunyun:H-hey, please stay quiet shopkeeper!
Ei:This girl is...
Nyx:...A lost cause.
Kumagawa:[She'd do better if she gave up at the whole rivality thing. It worked for ne and Medaka-chan, as we enchanted each other, but it doesn't work for everyone.]
Yunyun:...A-anyway! Today we shall contest in magic, Megumin!
Kumagawa:[You'll need to do it in Explosion.]
Yunyun:Uhhh...why exactly?
Kumagawa:[That's the only spell she knows.]
Yunyun:...W-what!? But you are a high level, so surely you need to have skill points remained!
Megumin:Of course I have. Although, I'm gonna spend them on Explosion Power Bust and High-Speed Chanting.
Yunyun:Why would you do something so useless!?
Megumin:Useless? I'll have you know my friends do happen to appreciate my magic.
Kumagawa:[It does much destruction.]
Kazuma:It is usefull, even if only on certain situations.
Yunyun:Than...this!
Yunyun took a black crystal ball and both of them pouted magic into it. Knowing how Wiz's magic objects usually work, Kumagawa already matterialized a soda and a bag of popcorn.
His action proved to be very well fit, as soon screens began appearing around them. It showed Yunyun eating by herself her birthday cake at a table. Than it showed Megumin stealing crusts of bread.
Kazuma:She...she's stealing bread crust!
Kumagawa:[Mogana-chan might have been poor, but she wasn't that bad.]
More and more screens played by them. Megumin stealing food. Yunyun playing chess by herself. Megumin taking crustaces out of a river and boiling them for her and her sister. Yunyun trying to befriend animals, but they run away from her and even the flower by ran away. By the end of it, both crimson demons were embarassed.
Kumagawa:[I usually enjoying people's despair. But this...this is just sad.]
