Eliana POV
Marlene leads me to a different compartment with 3 girls in it. One of them I recognize, Alice Fortescue. We were best of friends until I was 9, and then I met a new best friend, Daisy, a french pureblood who was going to Beauxbatons. Daisy was the reason I wanted to go to Beauxbatons so much, and with the amount James and I used to argue, my parents willingly agreed.

When I walk into the compartment, they all turn to look at me, one girl mutters, "finally," before looking up and focusing on me. The girl has shoulder length, stick straight brown hair thats tucked behind her ears. She wears square black glasses that frame her light blue eyes. She has a small nose that is dotted with light brown freckles to contrast her pale skin. The girl appears about 5'7, but her heeled black boots give her at least 2 inches. She wears a yellow pleated skirt and a black sweater with big sleeves that cover half of her hands. She was trying to get her luggage down when we walked in, but now she's standing in front of me with a questioning look. "Um, who are you?"

"Em, be nice," Alice scolds, turning around and noticing me. Her face breaks into a wide grin, and she rushes over to hug me. Her dark blonde hair is tied into a high ponytail, with only her bangs to cover her forehead. Her dark brown eyes are filled with happiness, which I'm grateful to see. So far I've only been greeted with confused or hostile stares, and Alice's kindness makes me feel more wanted and welcome. She wears her Gryffindor robes, but has no badge pinned to the chest. "I didn't know you were coming."

"Uh, surprise?" I say, worried she'll be mad that I didn't tell her. We haven't seen Alice much recently, and I wasn't sure if she'd be excited or angry, and I didn't want to risk the anger.

"Um, who are you again?" The girl, Em, interjects. I can't blame her for being rude, she has no idea who I am.

"Eliana Potter," I say, hoping she doesn't hate my brother. I hate him too sometimes, but I would also kill someone for him. I'm kind of the only one allowed to hate him.

"Potter? Like James Potter?" A different girl asks. She was sitting on the bench, coloring a picture of a hippogriff and not paying attention to the conversation. She has dark brown, almost black hair in an afro, with her fringe bangs just long enough to come to her eyebrows. She is the only one wearing yellow robes, which I assume means that she's a Hufflepuff. The bright yellow contrasts her dark skin nicely. Her hazel eyes are warm, yet not entirely welcoming. I wonder if she'll regret asking that question.

"Yes," I say, ignoring the glances between Em and the other girl. "I'm his twin."

"James has a twin?" Em says, shocked. I take the fact that she used his first name as a good sign, unlike how I've heard Lily do it.

"Yeah. I went to Beauxbatons before this so I wouldn't be at the same school as my brother and so that we could have separate lives. I didn't realize he never told anyone about me, though," I shrug as if it didn't bother me, but really it did. All of my old friends knew about my brother, even if he wasn't at Beauxbatons. I guess I thought he told his friends about me too.

"Oh, okay. I'm Mary MacDonald," the girl says. She doesn't seem hostile towards me, just unsure.

"Emmeline Vance," Emmeline says. She still doesn't regard me to highly, nor does she spare another moment on me, and goes back to getting something from her luggage.

"Eli, why don't you sit down?" Lily asks. "We can get to know you a bit more?"

I oblige, and sit next to Alice. She gives me a warm smile, bringing me back to the days when we hide under the table at our families dinners, occasionally tickling my brothers feet so he would scream and my parents would get mad. We were not the greatest to him, but when our parents figured out it was us, we got in trouble and James was incredibly pleased.
