JAVONS POV
It had been a few days since mine and Nova's argument. To be honest, I wasn't upset that she hadn't turned up.
I felt like shit for having that kind of mindset, but there is something about Nova that makes me feel uncomfortable.
I dont know if it's that she is mean to Jayla, and is mean to Ophelia, but it is something that is making me feel on edge.
We agreed to meet up and talk about it, so that's what I did. Nova asked to meet at a bench near to a beach near my house.
I walked to the bench, realising Nova was already there. She looked incredibly upset, but I wasn't going to fall for her manipulation this time.
"I didn't think you'd show up." Nova smiled weakly.
"I did." I respond quickly as I sat down next to her. "I'm gonna say what's on my mind." I say, refusing to look at her.
"Okay." Nova flung back, swallowing nervously.
"To be honest, I don't like the way you treat Jayla, or Ophelia." I announced truthfully.
"Oh, this is about Ophelia..." She fake chuckled.
"Yeah. Nova, I've known Ophelia for years, I really don't like how mean your being to her." I respond.
"You are the one who unfollowed her on everything, and now you're yelling at me?" Nova spoke loudly, gradually raising her voice at me.
"I've tried talking to her, but you aren't letting me." I reply honestly.
"Because I'm jealous!" Nova shouted. "Okay? You've known her for longer, she is prettier, and I'm self conscious." I bite at my lips at Nova's honesty. Nova sniffled coldly, crossing her arms. "I can't do this anymore, Javon." I look at Nova in disbelief.
"What?"
"It's over." Nova retorted. Nova stood up, her arms were still crossed and her eyes were drained with mascara running down her cheeks. "I'm done." Nova said, walking away from me.
It sucked. I wasn't sad about it, I felt free. Although I felt guilty for not thinking of the breakup as a bad thing.
I began to wander of the other things I could do without Nova. It was great.
