Why is this following me everywhere I go? The room felt a million degrees hotter, I felt like I was being run over by a car over, and over, and over again.
"Are you alright?" Lauren asked.
I shook my head without looking up from the table. The paper started spinning, the next thing I knew Lauren was walking me out of the classroom, and into the bathroom.
"What happened?" She asked worriedly.
"M-Max, and J-Jack." I stuttered.
I took a couple breaths, and waited for the room to stop spinning, until I had calmed myself down. I sat against the cold tile wall, and Lauren sat next to me.
"I want you to know you can talk to me about anything, you can trust me. I know we jut met, but I think we're going to be great friends." She explained.
"I lived in Oklahoma, that town they were talking about in that article." I told her.
"You were friends with the twins?" She guessed.
I wasn't surprised that she couldn't tell that we were related. I looked nothing like them. They both had black hair, and dark brown eyes, and I had brown hair, and bright green eyes, we had completely different face structures.
"They were my brothers." I smiled, I always did when I talked about them. At least I used to, this is the first time in a long time that I had felt comfortable talking about them. "I did everything with them."
"It must hurt, to lose your brother. I don't know what I would do without Liam." Realization spread across her face. "Is that why you got so mad at him this morning?"
"Yeah, but can you not tell anybody. I don't want to be known as the girl with two dead brothers. At least until I have some friends who won't freak out, or treat me differently." I explained.
"I won't tell anyone, but you do have friends, you have me, Liam, and Jace."
Lauren and I walked back to the class. When we walked in the room Miss Stewart was talking about the article. I sat down and started listening to the conversation.
"From this article you can see the importance of what happened. You feel bad for the twins, but maybe the crash was there fault. Mayble the were irresponsible or-"
Hell no, nobody was going to try to make a fool out of my brothers. They stuck up for me all the time, I guess now it's my turn.
"I would like to disagree Miss Stewart." I interrupted.
"Go ahead."
"Well, first of all no where in this article does it talk about the irresponsibility of the twins. Plus you even if it did, it is a horrible habit to only have one source behind an argument. I hate to say it, but you have no evidence M'am." I stated.
"And what evidence do you have?" She asked sarcastically, causing giggles and snickers from the other students.
"Does the article say anything about their sister?" I asked.
I'm not going to let her push me around, and I'm sure as Hell not going to let her push around my brothers.
"She's a freshman named Megan Mason." She said with confusion.
"Now do you mind checking your class list?" I asked.
She looked at the class list, and her eyes widened as she looked back up at me.
"Is that enough evidence for you now?" I asked with a smirk spread on my face.
"Yes it is Megan." She said as the bell rang.
