"why in the fuck did I agree to this?" you whispered as you reached Shatterback point, hiding behind one of the pathway edges as the really fucking huge lynel walked about the plateau, it was easily 14 feet tall; had the face of a lion, the torso of a man, and the body of a horse. It was covered in scars and had a set of horns, sharp claws, and glowing green eyes.

Terrako chirped nervously from next to you, basically hiding behind you. "you can say that again" you muttered, sneaking from the pathway to the large boulder, freezing as you heard the beast whirl around to face you. Terrako was deathly silent, staring up at you. You held your finger to your lips and snuck around the boulder, away from the sound of the Lynel's hoof steps.

Your heart beat out of your chest as you circled the boulder, the lynel practically on your heels. You took a deep silent breath, climbed onto the boulder, and jumped, drawing your blade as you landed on the Lynel's back. It roared, bucking wildly to try to force you off as you swung into the beast, blackened blood flying about. You flipped off at the fifth hit and landed on your feet, drawing your shield as the Lynel growled, and turned to face you, drawing its sword and shield as Terrako sounded a high-pitched alarm, hiding behind your legs.

It roared again and lunged at you, swinging at your torso, you flipped back; time seeming to slow as you did so. You took a breath as you hit the ground and dashed forward, barraging the beast with a flurry of quick and powerful attacks. The lynel growled, blood dripping over its eye and trailing its human-like torso; it turned and ran away, sword out as it turned and ran at you, mid-swing. You flipped back again, sliding to a stop and blocking the backswing with your shield, bashing it away and taking the chance to slash at its torso.

It snarled in pain and leaped back, sheathing his weapons and taking a deep breath, and you ran as it shot rows of fire at you; Terrako sounding another panicked alarm. By the third, the beast relaxed and you dashed forward, hopping on its back and stabbing into him, you cursed as it bucked you off, your sword still in its lower waist.
