Chapter 2

KALI'S POV

Sunday's was my day off which was a relief because I couldn't be bothered to work today at all.

I rolled out of bed and landed on the floor.

I groaned and got up.

I stared at my fridge until I realized I couldn't be bothered making anything to eat.

Out for lunch I go, I got ready before going to find somewhere to eat.

I walked past a cafe.

Wait wasn't that Edward from yesterday in there?

Oh shit his just a customer it's not like his my friend, I can't just go and greet him.

I can go and get food though.

I walked in the cafe and ordered and sat on a seat near the counter top.

"What would you like?"
The waiter asked.

"Today's special please"
I stated.

I didn't even know what the special was, I just wanted food.

"Coming right up"
The waiter smiled.

"Hey toothpaste man, I mean not toothpaste man, I meant Edward"
I rambled.

Did I really just call him fucking toothpaste man?

"Toothpaste man?"
Edward chuckled.

"I meant Edward, how are you? I mean I'm just fine but how are you?"
I questioned.

I cringed as the more awkward side came out of me, I couldn't help it, sometimes I just rambled and acted like this, now I wanted to just turn and walk away because I was embarrassing myself.

"Your more awkward than I realized"
Edward deadpanned.

I saw Edward was looking at riddles.

"Riddles are fun"
I stated.

"Yes they are"
Edward grinned.

"Do you like riddles because of the Riddler?"
Edward questioned.

What? Who asks that? What do I even say? I mean I guess I do like Riddles because of the Riddler but they was actually fun to do.

"Uh yes uh I do"
I confessed.

Edward had a strange grin on his face but I decided not to question it, maybe he liked the Riddler too?

My food arrived which was good because I was really hungry, luckily the special turned out to be something I like.

I spoke to Edward for a bit before I went back home

Speaking of home, I'd been home for hours and the person in the apartment next to me was making a lot of noise, there was a lot of thrashing around.

I decided to check if they was ok, I had actually never seen my neighbour before, not once, I'd heard him though.

Whatever they say has always been muffled but they sound ..... eccentric.

I knocked on the door and was stood for a while waiting for a response but when nobody came I decided to turn back, just as I was about to turn the door opened.

I gasped as I saw it was Edward, so my neighbor is Edward?

"Wait your my neighbor? I was coming to ask you if you was ok, there was a lot of thrashing"
I explained.

"Oh hello Kali, I hear you scream too"
Edward muttered.

Most people would be like 'what the fuck' to what he just said but I thought it was funny.
