~{Marcy's Pov}~

"Anne just texted me, one second Maddie" I mumbled while Maddie was saying the ingredients of some potion that makes people grow or something like that. Maddie was tapping her foot angrily as she waited for me to finish. Maddie is not the most patient frog in amphibia, but she is my mentor and I should probably listen.

"Okay I gotta go in a minute, but let me in on what the potion ingredients are!" I said pulling my journal and pencil out. "Maybe if you were listening you would have realized that I only have half of the spell" Maddie explained annoyed "Oh! sorry I- Anne is spamming me I have to go. See you later Maddie!!" I exclaimed.

On my way back to the Plantar house I read the texts from Anne.

OMFG WHERE R U???

IF YOU DON'T RESPOND I'M GONNA DIEEEEEE!!!

Anne isn't very patient I guess. I knocked at the Plantars door and Sprig answered, "Anne's downstairs." He mumbled as soon as he saw my face. I walked in and was headed for the basement when Anne jumped on me "Hey dude!! Why did you take so long???" She exclaimed happily.

"Ah! Sorry it took a while I took the long way here." I lied, I actually just didn't want to run all the way here but I would feel dumb if I told her that. Anne used to play tennis back home, I am literally the worst at sports so I always felt stupid when I saw Anne and Sash doing sports and stuff while I just sat at the library and studied or played video games.

"Oh! Well I hope the walk was nice!! Anyway dude, I was wondering If you wanted to go to Stumpy's Diner Tomorrow?? With me of course." Anne asked "Sure! Is Sasha coming too??" I replied "Uhm no.." Anne said quietly "I was thinking it could be just me and you???" OH. SHE WAS ASKING ME ON A DATE? OH MY GOD I'M SO OBLIVIOUS!! 

"Haha Okay!!" I Said "When did you get so brave Anne??" She smirked " I guess battling giant man eating bugs does that to you." 

We started down the stairs when Sprig jumped on Anne's shoulder "Hiya Anne!! I gotta borrow Marcy a minute!" before she could respond Sprig pulled me away from her "Dude!! Why did you run away with her???" Anne yelled while he pulled me upstairs to his room.

 "Listen Marcy, all Anne was talking about while you were gone was your guy's quote on quote date." Sprig explained "So just know she is REALLY excited about it, I just wanted to let you know cuz like. No offense you're like the most oblivious person I've met."

That was rude. I mean like I know but he didn't have to say it. I guess i'm excited too? like- I know I should be super hyped up about it. But Anne and I have done stuff like this since like fifth grade so it doesn't excite me as much.

I know this is like a romantic date though so it will be a bit awkward maybe?? I don't know I will probably go through it a thousand times in my head before hand as always so I shouldn't worry that much.
