Susanne is watching the struthiomimus and thinks they could do with some bird friends she tells John this who himself is preoccupied she asks him what's wrong and he tells her they need more staff at prehistoric park especially as Rose and Paul can't be bothered to do anything. Susanne tells him she'll deal with that and that he should go get some birds. Before he goes to the portal John checks the new building the Bug House and says hello to Mary the eurypterid and Joseph the trilobite. John goes to the 1700s to find an animal Rose always wanted to see. He finds 2 eventually the one and only dodos. However they run away from him when he approaches he chases them to these docks where sailors are coming. John looks at what the sailors are doing and he finds out they're hunting dodos and that there's 2 dodos left and he realises the 2 dodos are the ones he found. John runs back into the woods to find them and save the dodos from extinction. He eventually finds the silly birds just running into trees he finds this hilarious but his laughs stop once he hears the sailors coming he tries to grab the birds but they run. The sailors find John and ask him who he is and he tells them he's a dodo hunter so he teams up with the sailors to find them. John eventually finds one of them and grabs it and tries to take it to the portal but a sailor sees and shoots him. John wakes up bleeding in the boat and the sailors are about to drown the dodo so they can cook it but John can't let it happen so he grabs his tranquilliser and shoots the 2 sailors about to drown the bird and he gets bandages and puts it on the wound and crawls to the dodo. He picks it up and carries it and goes to the portal. He then finds the second one and grabs it and takes them both through the portal. Susanne takes him to her medical center and stitches him up. Then she introduces him to the new members of Prehistoric Park Hailey Wonyoung Arthur Brandon Jason Todd and David.
