Chapter 13: Smile

-drip drop- Its raining again. After Mason and I kissed we got along better. I tried to change his creepy side. I knew he felt better in his dark side. But I want him to get out of it. He was the most adorable boy I've met. I want him to try to come into the brightness. I decide to go to the store and buy him something to show I'll be there for him. When I arrive I see a bright blue hoodie. I grab it and read Neon. -minutes later- "Thanks for buying!" "Thank you", I smile. After I arrive to my bedroom. "Mason?!" "Hi", he smiles. I hand him his gift. "A present?", he asks. "Yup! Open it!" He laughs and opens the bag. When he smiles I feel like I'm watching the same eight year old he was. He stares down at his new sweater. "Do you like it?" I wait for an answer but instead receive a tear. He's crying?! "Thank you... I can't remember the last time I've gotten a gift..." (silence) "Hey cheer up. Put it on now!" -seconds later- He looks like a 12 year old with his smile. -giggles- "You look adorable!", I giggle. "Really?" -nods head- "Thank you again. How much do I owe you?" "Nothing. It's my gift to you." -smiles- I head towards my closet to take of my jacket and Mason sits on my bed. "If you want ANY THING tell me. Okay?" "Anything? Well can...you kiss me again?" I stop hanging my jacket. Huh? "I want to kiss you again", he smiles. O-O He gets of my bed and walks toward me. "......" "Thanks", he laughs. He is a good kisser... "hehe...I'll change for you. ONLY for you. I'll smile for you and laugh." How did he know that's what I wanted? "I can see your thoughts by your face and eyes." I close my eyes so he could stop. "You are soo cute when you try to hide. Hehe", he teases. I open my eyes again. "What do you wanna do?", I ask. " I feel like I want ice cream." "On a cold rainy day?!", I exclaim. ^_^ -he nods- "Let's go." We drive to a Yogurt Land and I stop the car. "Wait how are you gonna eat if you're dead?", I ask. "Oh yeah. I forgot to tell you, I'm not dead anymore." What? "When we kissed, my heart began to beat and now I'm alive, but I'm gonna stay 18 forever unless I die again." "So you are alive but not alive?" "Pretty much. Come on let's go!", he laughs. "Are you cold?", He asks. I was cold. "No." He smiles, yes you are. He raps his arms around me. When we arrive I find Vanessa there with Max. "Max?", I ask. "Oh hey, Vanessa knows we are vampires. So how's that vampire thing coming along? You look paler. Don't worry later on like a few years later you'll get fangs", he says. "Why would you tell her and plus why are you with Vanessa?!" " Oh yeah, we're dating." Haha did I just hear right? "Funny coincidence, I'm dating your enemy and you're dating my enemy!", he says."Whatever, bye. Let's get some yogurt Mason." We get a cup and start serving ourselves. I pull on a lever and think about Max. He is jealous. Yup that's why he's dating her. My enemy. My- "Bella?" I look at Mason and he points at my cup. "Oops!" I poured too much Strawberry flavor. He laughs. "Ready?" "Yup, let's go." He smiles,"Thanks!"
