Chapter 9: What's Next?

-Drip Drop- I open my eyes and see it's raining. I rub my eyes and get of my bed and check on my mother. She was reading a book on her bed. In my family I was an only child, I had a father but he passed away in a car accident. He died when I was 8. Ever since that day my mother never talked. She'd spend most of her time in her room. I'd give her a kiss or talk to her, but everyone around her seemed invisible. I close her door and walk into my closet. I put on a scarf, sweater, and wear some pants followed by boots. Last I grab my pink polka dotted umbrella and go outside. I look into the sky and just see plain grey. I walk down the sidewalk and remember Mason. Where did Mason go? Does he still plan on killing me? After, I think about how Max finally bit me but didn't want to let go of my blood. I touch my neck and feel two tiny holes. When I touch it I could feel a sting. I wonder to myself after, to stay alive I need to be a vampire, so does that mean I'm a vampire? I decide to call Max later and ask him if he could come meet me outside. (2 hours later) -Ring Ring- "Hello?", he says. He sounds tired. "Hi Max. Can you come meet me at the woods?" "Sure." "Great!" I hang up and run a few minutes later to the woods trying to avoid getting really wet. "Hi", smiles Max. -Gasp- "You scared me", I laugh. He laughs too. He was wearing a black hoodie and denim jeans with black Converse. He hugs me and says," I'm sorry Bella for biting you until you past out." "It's okay." He smiles and holds my hand.

"So, what will happen to me. You know, you bit me, now I'm gonna become a ...v-vampire", I choke. "Haha, I don't know. I just hope you don't get sick or..." "What?," I say as I try not to panic. "I said to much", he says. "No tell me!", I command. "No." "What will happen?" "Stop being nosey!", he snaps. I try to hold my anger in but I can't. -SMACK- I throw my hand at his cheek and see him with his hand on his red cheek.Ow, I kind of hurt my hand, too. "You just slapped me", he stammers. Omg, I did. I slapped a vampire! "Why did you slap me?!", he yelled. What should I do now? Run? No, he can catch up to me even if I was a mile away from him. Just be brave, Bella. I close my eyes for a second, and act tough even though I'm scared and cold. "You keep lying to me! Stop keeping secrets from me! What will happen to me? And I want you to tell me the truth this time!", I choke. "I'm sorry. I know you're pissed but if I tell you what might happen, you'll... you will become afraid", he says. "I'm already afraid Max! What could possibly be worse?", I yell, trying to keep my frustration inside. "OK. Bella, I love you so I will be totally honest with you. When I sucked your blood, I added venom, which will turn you to a vampire. So soon you will feel dizzy. That's because the poison is kicking in. So you will become a vampire, but if not.....you die." I feel my heart beat fastly. A cold shiver runs down my back. Die? The words in my mind repeat on and on...What happens next after I feel dizzy? Will I be here tomorrow? I don't know, I don't know......
