A Monster in Disguise

Chapter 7: Love and Friendship

           I walk in the woods on a cloudy day, wondering if I might find an adventure. I continue to walk down the path where tall trees surrounded me. I look up at the trees and see birds flying. I bend down and pick up a flower I see in the middle of a path. After a while It's kinda dark so I decide to go back home. As I walk back I feel something push me.I fall and land on my knees and hands. I look in back of me but don't see anything. "I could swear something touched me", I say. I look at my knees and hands. They're dirty and red. I see blood drip down my knee. I get my scarf and then rap it around my knee. It hurts but I close my eyes and hold my breath. After i finish it gets extremly cold so I zip up my sweater and get up. I continue to walk but stop when I hear a voice," Get out of here. Or I will become unleashed", A voice says. I turn around but no one was there. "W-who  was that!", I ask. Silence... "Why do I have to go?", I ask. Silence again. I decide to just walk back home but then I hear the voice again. " Please leave, I don't want you to get hurt. The woods are dangerous for a pretty girl like you", the voice says. It continues to talk about how I shouldn't be alone in the woods, but I don't really listen to it's pep-talk, I was more concerned about it's voice and who this anonymous Person was. It sounded like a young man, almost like a teenager. "I hope you know im still not going to leave. I dislike being told what to do", I say. After I finish talking I hear a lot of trees begin to shake hard. Then a teenage boy who looks a year older than me jumps out of a tree. He has blonde hair that shines grey-like in the moon light. He's very pale and has greyish eyes that sparkle in the moon's light. He's tall and cute. "Hi, my name's Mason Thompson, You may call me Mase though", he says. He was wearing a blue sweater with a v-collared shirt, and had dark red Converse. "Hello, my name is Bella", I bow. "Hello, Bella", he smiles. His teeth shined a gleamy white in the midnight fall. "Wait, are you a vampire?", I ask. "No", he laughs. "Don't worry, I won't say anything. I know vampires exist. I have a boyfriend named Max", I smile. "B-boyfriend?", he stammers. "Yes", I smile. He looks at me with a smile. "Oh, I see you aren't single, well..no I'm not a vampire...until we meet again. Farewell my lady", he bows. He gives me a kiss on the cheek a disappears. "Wait Mase! Don't go! I barely met you! Then theres complete silence again. I just walk back and get to my house. I put on my pajamas and get underneath my blankets. Then I close my eyes, remembering the strange boy who was almost invisible. "I'll be watching you", I hear a voice say as I drift to sleep.
