It's the first day of my vacation, and in the middle of fall, when my mother Ningguang knocked on the door of my room.

"Kazuha sweetie, gaming time is over, I want you to come down in a minute"
"Sure mother..."

I sighed as I shut down Genshin Impact, a game I started playing a while ago.

Oh..I realized I haven't done a proper introduction yet. I am Kaedehara Kazuha, or well... Not really Kaedehara anymore. I was adopted by my moms Ningguang and Beidou after Beidou found me sitting on a box in Ritou, a town in Inazuma, which was completely shut down by her excellency 'The Shogun'. I am currently 18 years old and a college student. They call me Canadian boy at school and I am crushing on my best friend Gorou, who also is from Inazuma but somehow managed to escape. The only issue here is that he took a boat back to Inazuma this spring.

"Kazuha! Get your gay ass down here immediately" that was Beidou screeming from downstairs.

We live in a pretty big two floor apartment in a building called 'The Jade Chamber' it's one of the biggest there is in Liyue Harbor, also the most expensive one. You see my mother Ningguang is the mayor of this town, she took uncle Zhongli's place after he had an early retirement (Zhongli is 28 for this fanfic).

I ran downstairs almost tripping over my own feet in the process. Running to the living room I saw Beidou and Ningguang sitting at the dinner table.

"We want to have the talk with you" Beidou stated.
"But you already know I am gay....?"
"Beidou, be serious" Ningguang rolled her eyes and then smiled at me "We decided that we are going to move to Inazuma for a month and wanted to ask if you would rather come with us or stay here"

You know how I mentioned that Gorou moved to Inazuma last spring? Yes, then you can understand why I immediately said yes, although there were a few problems.

"I would love to go with u guys mother, but... How about your job as a mayor and my school?"
"Zhongli is taking back the position for the time being and we school is no problem with your mother being the mayor and all that stuff" Beidou stated "If you don't mind I shall start packing we're leaving with my ship tomorrow 6 AM"
"Sure thing mom, I am going to start packing right away"
Beidou patted me on the head and I walked upstairs again.

I plopped on my bed and sighed, what do we need hmmm I thought to myself. I am kind of wanted there and don't want to stand out. Maybe a white blouse with a créme pullover and some black ripped jeans, I'll buy some other clothing when we arrive there. So I packed the basic necessities and went to bed.

The next day I was very excited, so I almost spilled my milk while making cereal and hurried out the door to the docks. I saw mother standing there talking with Zhongli and his husband, Tartaglia. Mom was busy prepping her ship so I went to help her.

When everything was settled we set sail to the nation of eternity, Inazuma, the land where I once was born. I was writing some poems while sitting on some kind of beam, I had a great view of the ocean and after a few hours it began to storm a little. It was true that the sakoku decree had ended but the storm took some time to go away.

"Kazuha go to your mother and tell her I'll handle the storm"
"Alright mom!"

I went to go search for Ningguang and saw her in one of the bedrooms.

"Mother?"
"Ah uhm...yes dear"
"It's getting late and mom told me to inform you that she is holding up up there, the storm still hasn't lifted"
"Thanks dear, I suppose we will be there tomorrow morning"

I told her goodnight and went to my own respective bedroom. It was tiny but that made it nice. I tossed my bag in the corner, put on some pajamas and went to brush my teeth in the even tinier bathroom attached to the bedroom. Once I was done I cuddled up with my pillow and dreamed about seeing Gorou again.

The next day we were greeted by one of my moms friends, Thoma. I didn't paid much attention because all I could think about was being on time for the ferry to Watatsumi Island.

Gorou told me he was going to study there while working for a girl named Kokomi. At first I was kinda jealous, but later heard she was lesbian and dating some Tenryou general named Kujou Sara.

As we were walking to our new appartement I told my mother I needed something urgent to do. She being my mother and all knew what it was about and didn't make a fuss about it.

I took the bus to where the ferry was going to depart and sended Gorou a message saying he needed to be at Watatsumi Islands docks. He was confused but agreed anyway thinking he was just going to receive some letter or package.

Waiting for the ferry I noticed a familiar face. It was my best friend from before I went to Inazuma, Nagonahara Yoimiya. She noticed me and gestured to come over. We shared a hug together and she started talking.

"Omg kazuha, you were the last one I was expecting to be here! How are you doing? Why are you back here? Are you going to see Gorou~~?"
"I am going to be for a fact. My moms are here for some kind of business trip and I am doing fine actually."
"That's wonderful! Oh the ferry is here, I'd say that we catch up later okay!"

And just like that she disappeared among the crowd and so I did too make my way to the ferry and choose a place to sit. After an hour I arrived at Watatsumi Island. I caught a glimpse of Gorou and did my best not to run towards him.

I departed from the ferry and walked down the docks. I noticed how he hadn't seen me yet and I began to slowly run. Calling out for him.

"Gorou!"

I saw him looking my direction and as soon as our gazes met we began to run towards eachother.

Gorou flew onto me and we both fell to the ground.

"You're back!"
"I'd told you we would see eachother again, heh"
"I missed you Kazuha"
"I did too Gorou"
