'GLAD YOU KIDS ARE BACK!' i heard a familiar voice boom from the kitchen over the soft sound of music followed by the sizzling of a skillet. quickly, megumi followed the smell of steak to the kitchen, me following along.
'ah y'all smell it?' he turned to us with a huge grin, showing his gold canine. 'dad, please tell me it's bulgogi.' megumi semi-squealed in excitement.

i mentally chuckled while opening the freezer for a popsicle and making my way to the counter by mr. fushiguro and took a seat right on top.
'can't wait for you to try it sage.' he turned to me, causing me to scan him with my cat eyes. didn't notice till now that he wore a skin tight wife beater with a gold little necklace hanging from his neck.
'i-i mean i guess... what's special about bulgogi anyway?' i shrugged before continuing to devour my pineapple popsicle. megumi stared at me as if i'd grown 3 heads.
'oh. my. fuck. sage you're missing out! my dad's homemade bulgogi is to DIE for!' he exaggerated while drooling a bit. i could only scoff at this man. 'at yo big age...' i trailed off before throwing my popsicle stick at his forehead.
with his eye twitching, he slowly picked up the popsicle stick that fell on the floor. 'im so happy about the bulgogi that i'm not gonna get my payback today...' he acknowledged while handing me back the stick.
'hey kids, stop the sister-brother feud! sage come help me cook while megumi goes outside to take care of the trash.' fushiguro sternly ordered, making us both get up and do as we were told.
