"Boring. Boring. Wow. Super boring... Here we go!" Jinx continuously looking through the journal.
"So?" I sat next to her
"It's all about these runes. They form some kind of math-y magic-y gateway."
"Like a portal of some sort?" I questioned.
"To the realm of heebie-jeebies. And this... turns it on." She shows the gemstone.
"You think it'll work? You know due to it's design?" I hint at her gadget.
"Oh hush" she puts the gemstone in.
"so... here goes" she turns the switch

A blast of blue energy is beamed up, it's force pushing us back. It gives me flashbacks. The blue orb that made its way into the room, it exploded sending everyone back, and the pole that impales ... Mylo ... 'karma'. I gasped.

"Turn it off!" I couldn't reach it. Later it eventually tuned off on its own. Immediately I crawl backwards away from the machine. We both are panting heavily remembering our past that we try to forget.
"No!" Jinx sobs
"This, this was a mistake...It was a mistake" I grab her to get away.

"Hey, what is this place?"
She walks in a old messy apartment and steps on a metal plate.
Jinx wasn't speaking only standing there. A bird landed next to her and she pulled out her gun. Staring at the bird she smiles and shoots it. Starting to move around more we went on this platform area for people to practice their fighting skills.
"Do you want to turn it on? You look like you do." I face her, but she only nods.
Looking at the design I was able to put together the pieces and activate the machine.

She stood there as if thinking. I saw that when she started punching, she was getting angrier. Even a few tears poured out of her eyes. The score board was beneath Vi. That didn't make her happy either, she shot the center piece instead.

Me and jinx were sitting above Silco's office in the ceiling. I had her lay her head on my lap and play with her hair. We both have our memories from our past. Hers constantly come back, while mine... well mine I lock away and forget it. I think that's what makes me 'weak'.

"This was a mistake! Look at what you cause!"
"This is what you wanted. He had it coming! He deserves it , it's called karma!"
"Maybe your the karma! Maybe its just you! Your the problem"
"Oh! So this is my fault?!"
"Of course it is! Leave! No one wants karma around!Leave Karma! You'll just hurt people. You can die for all I care."
"You don't mea-"
"I DO MEAN IT NOW LEAVE!"

'shit' I shake my head. Now is not the time.

No ones POV~

"Sheriff, what a lovely surprise." Silco walks into his office.
"The Hextech wonder boy is in the Council now, and he's asking questions. It's only a matter of time before he finds the truth." Marcus informs
"What is truth, but a survivor's story?"
"If I'm discovered, we're both finished."
Silco places an explosive on the desk to give to the officer.
"Good thing you've located proof of the Firelights' involvement."

Marcus walks over to grab the grenade.
"This has gone too far."
"Hmm? Imagining yourself a hero? One final act to make you the martyr you've always seen yourself as? Then what are you waiting for?" He asks Marcus.
The officer walks away

"Ah, he's faltering. You two need to weaponize the Hextech soon. Once we've cracked their prized, topside will have no power over us."
"I can't do it. Just... give it to the doctor." Jinx answers.
"You need to help each other. You both are the only ones I can trust with this." He looks up
"I keep... seeing them. That day."
Silco stands up from his seat and looks at her.
"Fear haunts us all, child." He then looks at Karma "Even to those who ignore it." She looks away.
he sighs "Follow me. Both of you."
'Aw man'

We were standing in water.
"I almost drowned in these waters."
"You told us" Karmas says
"A million times." Jinx finishes.
"Vander wasn't the man you thought he was." Silco looked at us.
"Right, he was like a brother to you, and he turned his back and blah, blah, blah." She continued. The
E/C girl nudges her shoulder.
"Did she miss anything?" She sighs out
"I've got a new one for you both." He snickers out. He reached for the water and dipped it in.
"That day, I let a weak man die." He emerges himself into the water and comes back up. "And another was reborn. Betrayal, that pain that feels like it'll eat you from the inside out, can either break you or forge you into something greater. You need to let Powder die... and for Y/N to die too not lock her away."

"What are you talking about? She did die." Karma tells him.
"Did she?" He practically silenced her.
"Karma. Child stop keeping it in, don't force it away, Let. It. Go. Do it so the fear of pain will no longer control you two." The girls look at each other. They lock hands and walk towards Silco.
"You girls are strong now. Just like you were always meant to be." He grabs on to their hands.
"Karma and Jinx are perfect" They both look at him. He slowly dips the girls into the water.

That same day they both started their build as new people.

"Ready" The h/c girl turns on the machine.

It was working. They both dance in success.
