Don't talk to dangerous people and come home early; That's what my Mother always told me when I was young, every time I left the house, the same words were spoken.
Whilst in this case, could I deem Remilia to be someone of that category? Vlad had a reputation for cruelty after all.
"Now now, Remilia, we all know that's not true." Marisa declares.
"Hey, I am the descendant of him, it's true!"
Her wings shot up and starts to vibrate with her entire body as she refuses to let Marisa ruin the image she's trying to create.
Though getting worked up by someone saying that you're telling lies of that fortitude, is perhaps one of the childish things you can do.
Fortunately for that however, the tense atmosphere that surrounded her started to fade. I could finally breathe normally.
"I mean, sure you're a Vampire but you're still a spoiled prin-"
Without being able to finish her sentence, a faint object flew pass Marisa's head and straight through the paper door.
Sweat starts to drop from Marisa's brow.
"A-ahahaha..."
Detecting murderous intent in the room, my eyes follow accordingly to a white haired lady. She was the one who's most certain to be behind the thrown object. Since the other was busy inspecting the label of a wine bottle.
Fair skinned and ashed white hair, her blue eyes were sharp as they stared daggers into Marisa. With braids on both her sides, she had the headdress and dark blue clothing of a Victorian maid.
"Oh, it seems that my hand slipped. Sorry, but what were you going to say, Marisa..?"
"I-It's not like I could have finished it, Sakuya! What happened if you missed I could have-"
"Then try to be careful from now on.~"
"Perhaps you should have angled it more towards Marisa than the door."
"I'll keep that in mind for future references, Alice. Would you like some tea?"
"And, Yuuki was it?"
"U-umm, yes."
"I'm Izayoi Sakuya, chief maid of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, It's a pleasure to meet you."
"I-It's nice to meet you too... Iza... S-Sakuya..?"
She nods with an elegant smile and usually such a thing would be reassuring, but with such contradiction to her earlier act. It seems that one of the people of whom I don't want to anger, would be Sakuya.
"There's enough tea for you too, Yuuki. So help yourself."
"And what are you doing still standing there, Marisa? Your favourite cookies are going to get cold."
Lifting up a cloth that was covering a tray, the room was instantly filled with the sweet aroma of assorted cookies, It reminded me of home.
"Oh, don't mind if I do!~"
In an instant, Marisa joined the others at the table and begins to help herself.
The only person who remained un-named was another lady sleeping against the floor resting her head against her arm.
Remilia seemed to have noticed my curiosity of her as she grins.
"That's Meiling, my gatekeeper as unfortunate as it is to say."
Is Remilia so high up in the chart to have her own personal maids and a gate-keeper?
Long scarlet hair with braids on her side much longer than Sakuya's. Her green beret that matches her dress was balancing upon her head, as she wore a white blouse underneath.
