When the strawberry blonde finally woke up the next day, Karma was still there. He was stroking Gakushū's hair.

"What time is it?" Gakushū rubbed his eyes. "5pm" Karma responded. "Fuck! I missed work!" Gakushū exclaimed.

"It's alright Shū, I called your father and told him you're sick" The robot smiled. "You looked like you needed a day off from work"

Gakushū couldn't resist kissing Karma's hand. "Thanks"

Karma smiled lovingly. "It was nothing, I'd do anything for Gakushū"

Hearing this made Gakushū's heart twitch. He sat up and took Karma's hand in his. "Karma, I have something I need to tell you" he led the AI to the living room.

He sat Karma down on the couch. He wanted to explain to him that he wanted the Cyborg procedure for him.

"Listen, Karma...you can say no to this idea. If I say I'm going to put you through the AI Corp's pilot Cyborg Program, would you still stay with me after this?"

The robot's processor whirled. The AI's eyes flashed like a rainbow. "I've read the details of the pilot program" Karma finally said. The robot hung his head down. "There is..... a 90% chance that I either reset or be overridden by the donor brain. But I also know that Shū is very kind to me. He would never treat me badly"

Gakushū leaned against Karma's chest, he let the red head play with his hair. "Gakushū, even if my memories are erased, my body would still remember you..." Karma delicately removed Gakushū from his person and placed his master's hand where his heart should be. "Even when the donor brain overrides my software and body, I know I'll fall for you all over again"

"Karma..." Gakushū breathed.

"My answer is yes, Shū-chan" Karma's golden eyes glowed with warmth. "I would like the procedure"

"I'll make the call then" Gakushū's eyes were full of happy tears when he heard this speech. He quickly hugged Karma and kissed his neck.

Two days later

Karma and Gakushū were in a white hospital room. Gakushū was sitting beside the bed, Karma was wearing a green hospital gown while lying on the moveable bed. Their hands were clashed together.

They heard footsteps coming in the hallway. The door opened to reveal a black haired woman wearing glasses and a lab coat with Dr. Horibe, and Ritsu.

"Karma, it's time" the black haired woman said, smiling gently at him.

"Gakushū, this is only a temporary good bye" Karma promised. He let go of Gakushū's hand, and let Ritsu and the black haired woman wheel him out of the room and towards the surgery room.

Karma waved good bye at Gakushū, smiling asuringly at him. "I'll be okay..." He whispered to him.

"Good bye..." Gakushū whispered back, his hands stretched towards the only one who he ever truly loved.
