Bloodstained-Chapter 1

Hey guys :) sorry for the delay, big things have made me too busy to write :( BUT HERES ANOTHER MIDGET CHAPTER

Surprisingly, Frederick didnt get far- he just went out of the suburb. It was the news they brought back that shocked everyone.

As I was watching the news that night, I saw that the top story was 'Frederick-Desaster strikes'. The news reporter went on to explain what had happened: genetic mutuation had caused Frederick to be struck with a new disease, named Abhorrence. The disease had caused Frederick to go insane within a matter of days and he was found in the wild in the middle of a desert, eating meat that was probably human. He had turned into a savage, and no one knew why. He had been caught, despite his huge strength, and the autopsy would be done in a few months. That was all they told us, but there was much more.

The next day at school, Brenna and Ping were back, but Nolan was nowhere to be seen. When I asked Brenna, his best friend, where he had gone, she replied:

'I have no idea. In the search party, one night he just vanished. He abandoned us all.'

I was confused. Normally, Brenna was never serious. At all. But this was serious. Nolan would never disappear, he was scared of nearly everything anyway. How come it wasn't on the news that someone had been lost?

That lunch, I questioned Ping about it.

'Abhorrence, god, its really scary, Farica. You only have to kiss someone to get it, or even share a drink with them. That's why Frederick was kissing everyone before he went wack-they probably all have it. When we found him, his eyes were red and bleeding. He looked like a fucking animal. The disease makes you want to spread it, and in a week you'll be like Frederick-all changed. You won't even know how to walk anymore-you just glide.'

'How do you know all this? They haven't even done the autopsy yet.'

There was an awkward silence.

'I'm just guessing....I'm sure it would be horrible to know that you only had days to be yourself. Then you change.'

The rest of the day was normal-as normal as you could expect the day to be if you had just lost your boyfriend to myserious circumstances. I didn't get it- no one explained into it, and if it weren't for Brenna, I would have been in the dark. I texted, Facebooked, and called Nolan twice, but there was no response.

But that night, I got a call from a blocked number. On my spare mobile, the one that no one knows i have except for a few people.

'Hello?' I asked, expecting it to Frederick or something equally scary. Today I felt like I was in a horror movie.

'Hey, Farica.'

It was Nolan-but his voice sounded forced, rough and rabid, like he had forgotten to speak English.

'Where have you been? What happened to you? Where are you calling from?''

'I'm Okay. Return to Burwind is delayed.'

'Why does your voice sound all weird?'

'I should tell you- I met Frederick.'

'You WHAT?! What happened?'

'Let's just say I'm more like him now.'

Panicking, I hung up and threw the phone to the other side of the room.

How did Nolan get it, though? Surely he wouldn't have kissed Frederick- he's strait. I would know.

~

One kiss, and never the same again.

One look, and Bloodstained forever.

One move, and dead.

~

The next day, Ping told me more about Abhorrence.

'This is how it works. You get it from sharing saliva, basically. Then, you start to feel really horny-'

I cut her off, and started laughing. Despite my panicking mind, hearing Ping say 'horny' was hilarious and unheard of.

'Shut up, Farica. It's serious. So, everyone you kiss gets Abhorrence. It sounds really stupid, I know, and Abhorrence is stupid, in a way. By the third day that you have it, your speech is affected, and you don't talk properly- your voice goes harsh and foreign. By around five days, you look so inhuman that you wouldnt even be recognised for yourself, you look like a monster. You forget how to walk, how to talk, how to do most things that humans can. Apparentely even your mind changes, and makes you eat people and whatnot. Oh, and you get really strong. Thats about it. Why do you ask?'

I had to tell her- it was killing me.

'Nolan called last night, he said he was kinda like Frederick. That means he got the disease, right?!'

I heard Ping mumble, 'of course he did' under her breath. I wondered about this, but gave it no further thoughts.

'How could he even talk if he had it? Oh-wait. I think it's possible that he taught himself English. But it sounded all weird, yeah? Oh, shit.'

I had some kind of epiphany then- I realised that Ping was talking different. She nearly sounded like how Nolan did.

I ran off to find Brenna.

DEN DEN DEN. haha, it was short, but i dont want to go too fast. :) COMMENT AND RATE AND SHIT, THANK YOU FOR READING :D
