Coffee Shop Confusion

Coffee shops are the best place in the to go to when you've got a lot to sort out. Or very important things to think about. That's why I'm sitting in a coffee shop now. It helps organize thoughts. I came to figure out my chemistry, but right before I came dad made me start thinking about other things. So there goes any chance of learning chemistry... he got me thinking about life. Sorting out priorities. Anybody who knows me knows I'm busy. I love being a part of everything. Well, sometimes, things conflict and you have to choose between them. The logical choice, obviously, is to go with whatever you have a big passion for. This isn't always a black and white line though. Sometimes there is no line at all because the two things are not to be compared. It's like telling someone they had to choose between eating or drinking. You need both equally...

This was my thought process....

"I love soccer. I love theatre. I realize when I have spare time, I spend it a lot more often on theatre than I do soccer. I guess that means I like it better. It would be a better use of my time to pursue theatre than soccer, because I like it better and have more of a chance of pursuing that than soccer. So I should do theatre. There's one major thing that I would hate about making the choice to leave the team....."

"Abby Ferree!"

Really? Literally right when I'm thinking about you? The moment I decide to leave your team? You have to show up right then? Why now? Is God trying to tell me something? Or is the devil taunting me? You come and call me abbs. Make me laugh. Show me what I'm leaving. What I'd miss. With no idea what was just going through my head. Coach, you always knew how to do this. Show up just when I needed you. Do you realize how hard you're making this decision?

Coffee shops are supposed to help organize thoughts. Irony has never been so confusing....
