Elizabeth got into the main area and ran into the Headmistress.
"Elizabeth Humphrey, it's so good to see you here" she said "And I heard that you had a baby. I was very shocked to hear that. You were always so cautious"
"Yes, I did, Ella is her name. She is the sweetest, cutest baby ever but I of course am completely biased on that"
"What does that mean for college? I heard that you had deferred a year but now you're at Columbia"
"Oh, I still have high marks. I'm actually on the fast track to graduate as soon as I can. Business degree. The stuff I learn in class has been extremely useful in my career. But you know me Headmistress Queller I always shoot to be the smartest person in the room and plan to be very successful in life. My daughter has only pushed me to be the best that l can be."
"That is why you were my best student, and the only Humphrey not to land in the office."
"Well out if the three of us there had to be a good one" she smiled.
"How is your sister doing in Hudson?"
"So much better, thanks for asking"
"Well, I wish you all the best for your future and I look forward to seeing all the big things you do in life"
"So good to see you." She said then saw Nate. "Now if you'll excuse me"
"Hey" he said "You just missed Chuck, I thought you two were coming together?"
"We did" she said "Where's Raina?"
"Wants to be alone"
"Oh, well I am amazing company. You know since we lost both of our dates" she replied and he nodded.
"Hey Lizzie" Dan said walking over.
"Has Dad called you?" she asked.
"Um no?"
"Charlie is off her meds" she said.
"Oh" he replied. "That explains the weirdness"
"So you noticed that she's being weird?"
"She told him to call her Serena"
"Oh that is very weird" she replied "And a huge turn off, I assume. I don't know I've never asked a guy to call me by another name. Right Nate?"
"Not that I remember, have I asked you to call me another name?"
"Nope" she smiled and he returned it.
"I'm gonna go see if I can find her" Dan said and left them.
"I think we always make him feel uncomfortable" she replied.
"Why?"
"Cause even when were with different people we tend to navigate back to each other" she said "Not to mention the always flirting with each other"
