You were sent with Dr Robotnik to investigate the odd power outage in Green Hill

Y/n's P.O.V
It's been three weeks since you've been sent out by the U.S government to look into the power outage with...Robotnik. How can you describe this man? Egotistical? Eccentric? Maybe, but you had to admit, the man was a fucking genius; he knew it.

You examined the strange footprint before you. Doc's system had already figured out the spinal structure and biology of it, it doesn't match with a single animal in the entire animal kingdom. Weird. You thought, however, you were pulled from your thoughts by a gentle knock on the door; you turned around to be met by Agent Stone "Agent Stone" You smiled gently, he reciprocated your smile "Mx.L/n, would you care for a latte?" He asked, your eyes beamed "Yes please" you excitedly sprung up and took the latte. You were way nicer to the poor Agent than the doctor.

You sipped the beverage. Suddenly, you jumped slightly when the Doc stormed in "STONE-" He started but stopped when Stone handed him a latte to which he silently accepted. "Doctor-" you pointed at the print "How strange, it doesn't match up with...anything" Robotnik stared intently at the screen, surprisingly quiet. You got up from your seat "I'll go out into town and interrogate..some people"
"Whatever makes you feel useful, l/n." The doctor sneered turning back to his work . You scoffed and left the van.

Ivo's P.O.V
Ivo heard y/n and Agent Stone leave. He tried to focus on the print in front of him but his mind constantly wandered to y/n. Focus, Ivo. They can't distract you from your work. No matter how hard he tried he could only think of them. He was looking at the display, but he wasn't focused.

How pathetic. He's the smartest man on this planet! He's computing equations and formulas faster than anyone could probably blink; his mind was blank for once because-because of y/n?! His thoughts were interrupted "Doctor?" He jumped, almost out of his seat, he looked at Stone "What?!" Behind him stood y/n . They locked eyes for a second before Ivo looked away.

"We found one of the prints outside of Thomas Wachowski's residence." They stated for Stone. Ivo got up and s,lied wryly "Well, what are you two idiots waiting for? Stone-" Agent Stone perked up "Drive us there, l/n, you can watch me analyze this print." He said sharply without a second glance at them. Little did they know, his heart was beating a mile a minute.

Y/n's P.O.V
Watch? Did he really just say watch? "Um, don't you mean help you analyze the print?" You asked, swiveling a chair next to him. He laughed ironically "You? Help me?" He coldly said with hints of amusement in his voice. You straightened your back in the chair "Well, they sent me here with you for a reason" You argue. Robotnik looked to you, you both staring at each other. You felt your throat tighten. Doc smiled "Oh yeah? And what was the oh so great reason?" He turned his full body to face you now. You gulped "Because I'm smart" You crossed your arms. You couldn't help but notice that his eyes were hazel, huh, you never noticed his eyes before. Robotnik laughed "That's cute" he said ironically.

You knew he said it out of irony, but you couldn't help but go silent when he said it. There was a silence between you. Until he broke it "Do you think that this is an extraterrestrial creature?" He turned to you. It wasn't sarcastic, or snide, or rude even. It was a genuine question, like he wanted to know what you thought. You were taken aback because it just came out of nowhere"Uh-I mean it doesn't match to anything I've seen before, it's physiology and biology could be of something out of this world." You said, computing something into the system to double check. No match found. You sighed and slumped back into the chair. Doc just hummed, nodded and turned back to the screen.

You stared into space wondering "Hey Doc-" you started "Ivo." Robotnik turned to you again. You raised your eyebrow "Just call me Ivo" he said rather meekly, not the usual energetic and somewhat insane Doctor you know. You blinked in surprise but smiled "Y/n" You swore you saw him give a small smile. Not an evil conniving smile, but a genuine smile. Your tender moment was ruined by Agent Stone's entrance "Doctor, we're here" he said unaware that he totally invaded you moment of peace with Ivo. His face turned sour and he got up "Out of the way, we have a space pest we need to detain!" He shouted as he pushed Stone out the way and got out of the van
