It was a Saturday Morning. For the parents of the Wizarding World, it was just another weekend without the kids (kids were at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry).
Harry just woke up. He was still laying on the bed.
'Morning, Hun' , a female voice rang on his ears.
'Hi' , Harry replied. He looked sideways and saw Ginny tidying the room.
Harry sometimes confuses Ginny with her mother. The sleek red hair wasn't the only similarity. Ginny is a very capable witch. Nowadays, by the looks of the situation, Ginny seems to be capable of killing Bellatrix Lestrange, except for that's what her mother did nearly two decades ago. And yes, she is a pretty women indeed.
'Breakfast's ready' ,Ginny said. She was done tidying the room, so she left.
Harry got of his bed. He was now facing the calender. He stepped closer to the calendar and looked for today's date. And a sudden realization dawned on him.
Today's Sirius's birthday.
His heart ached in pain. He never met his father, except for the fragment. But during Harry's third year at Hogwarts, things took a rather different turn. A deranged criminal in the name of Sirius Black had Azkaban(the wizard prison) to kill Harry; and this 'madman' sold Harry's parents to the darkest wizard of all time, Lord Voldemort.
But when Harry faced this wanted criminal, Harry came to know a different story. This so-called criminal was framed and forcefully ended up at Azkaban.
All this while, Harry had been living a lie. Except,  there was one truth Harry had known. This innocent 'criminal' was his godfather. So, on one fateful night, Harry and two trustee friends helped Sirius Black escape. But Sirius was on the run ever since. Because neither Harry and his friends nor their wise Headmaster Albus Dumbledore managed to prove Sirius's innocence due to the lack of evidence.
Although Sirius was lying low, he kept in touch with Harry. Over the course of time, they had grown fond of each other. Each of them considered the other as the equivalent of Harry's father, James. But their happiness didn't last long. Two years after his escape, Sirius was killed by his own cousin, Bellatrix Lestrange.
With the death of Sirius Black, Harry had lost his parental figure for the last time. Although Arthur and Molly Weasley are his in-laws, he'll never have someone to consider as a father. It hurts him.
Two years after Sirius's death, Harry himself became a godfather to Ted Lupin, Remus's son. Remus was a friend of James, just like Sirius. Just like Harry, Ted lost his parents because of Voldemort. Ted also grew up without any memories of his parents, just like Harry. So, Harry had decided to be like the Godfather he once had.
Harry felt a churning sensation in his stomach. He was starving. He walked to the kitchen. Ron was eating. Hermione was working with a stack of papers. Ginny was baking cookies.
'Oi, mate', said Ron. He had a mouthful of food.
'Hey,Ron!', Harry said, smiling widely. 'What's up?'.
Ron shrugged, chewing. Harry sunk on a chair beside Ron and grabbed a sandwich.
'Hey, Harry', Hermione said. Her face was hid behind a stack of papers.
'What are you up to again?!' Harry asks Hermione, frowning. He couldn't remember the last time he had spent a weekend with Hermione's relaxed version. Harry gave a bite on his sandwich.
'Goblin issues. ', said Hermione,
as though she was in some kind of hurry. 'They are need of a huge improvement. '.
'I thought we weren't on good terms with them.' Ginny said, as she put a plate of cookies in the middle of the table.
'Well, that's something I'm trying to change.' ,Hermione said.
'Good luck with that!', Ron jokingly said. Hermione seemed to ignore Ron's comment and continued to work on her own.
Rest of the day went quite uneventful. Hermione spent her day doing her goblin work. Harry and Ron played chess for quite some time, until Harry had gone mad, as he had been losing against Ron multiple times in a row. Ted came during the evening after work.
During dinner, Ginny and Hermione had made a cake with
"Happy Birthday,Sirius" written on it. Besides the enormous sized cake, the table was filled with a variety of mouth-watering delicacies. After the lavish meal, Harry felt like he had eaten way more than he should've done.
'I'm so.....full', Ron yawned, stretching his hands.
After a few moments, Ron and Hermione left. Ted had decided to stay for the night.
Harry had chosen Sirius's room for Ted to stay. Harry had guided Ted to Sirius's room. Harry opened the door to the room. Ted walked in as Harry stood on the doorway.
'Y'know, Sirius used to be in this room?', Harry asked.
'Really? That's interesting!' Ted excitedly said.
Looking at the room, Harry felt like Sirius was the ideal godfather. Many artefacts used by Sirius was still in the room. Harry realized that Sirius was the coolest godfather someone could possibly have.
Harry felt guilty. He knew he was nothing like his late, beloved godfather. For all these years he had seen Ted grow up, Harry believed he didn't fullfill his responsibility as a godfather properly.
Ted roamed around the room, as he and Harry talked about Sirius.
'He inspires you, doesn’t he?' Ted asked.
'Hmm.'. Harry said.
Ted was now facing Harry. He stood a bit further from Harry, who was still standing on the doorway.
Ted(grinning satisfyingly): You inspire me, too.
Harry : Is it because I am the "Famous Harry Potter"?
Ted: Oh, no. That's the last reason you inspire me. I like you because you're cool. I want to be like you.....
Harry (a bit annoyed): Killing the bad guy, saving the world,  blah blah blah....
Ted: Of course not! And what's wrong with that? You did the right thing?
Harry: Well, I did that to save my own skin. It wasn't something heroic or sacrificial. Many sacrificed their lives to save me and the world. Look at your parents! They gave their lives for your safety. You should be proud of them.
Ted: I am proud of them. And I am also proud of having you as my Godfather.
Harry: Well, that settles everything.
Ted: Harry, why does it bother you so much that so many people admire you?
Harry: Because it's not just me who fought against Voldemort. Everyone did. The fight was between me and Voldemort. None had to fight. But they did. Many died, many got injured. I could've stopped them. But I didn't. Besides, I'm so tired of being famous.
Ted: You don't have to blame yourself for what happened that night. All those who fought that night chose to fight. They didn't die for nothing.
Harry: Ted, you won't get it. Think about it. If I chose to face him without the fight even beginning, nothing would've been damaged. You could've been with your parents.
Ted: I thought my parents died so I can live in a much better and safer world.
Harry: It could've been achieved without them even fighting.
Ted: But they did. Because they cared about you. They trusted you as my guardian. And they weren't wrong, were they?
Harry stood silent for a minute or two. He was quite surprised to see how much Ted had grown up before his eyes. Harry took a few steps forward and hugged Ted as tightly as he could. To his own astonishment, Harry's face was wet with his own tears.
