"Can you explain to me why you're so cheerful all day?" critically eyeing his incessantly smiling friend, Jisung snapped Felix out of his thoughts.
"W-what do you mean?" Felix stretched his back and removed his hand as a support for his head to look into his counterpart's eyes.
"Don't take me for a fool, Felix." Jisung put his pen aside and folded his notebook closed to lean a bit forward ."Did you finally got your cherry popped?"
"Jisung!" Felix looked at his friend stunned and gave him a slight punch in the upper arm, while Jisung leaned back, grinning and laughing at the same time. Felix didn't even notice that his voice pitch was getting a little too loud and the students around him in the library gave him a quick questioning look.
"I was just kidding, but now tell me, why are you so happy?" the curious squirrel inquired and immediately noticed the nervousness in Felix eyes, who avoided any eye contact.
Felix had always been the sunshine of the group, but this time his rays were shining a little too brightly than usual, which struck Jisung as a little odd. So something had to have happened.
"Well..." unconsciously the Australian chewed on his lower lip and at the thought of yesterday, his cheeks warmed, slowly turning into a light pink.
"I happened to run into Changbin in town yesterday and we talked."
"And that's the reason you're daydreaming?" laughed Jisung, shaking his head. "It's not like he never talks to you."
"Yeah but after the party, our relationship was kinda.... weird and strained." explained Felix and the blue-haired nodded understandingly, waiting for Felix to continue talking, as it looked like there was still something on his mind.
"But..."
"But?"
Felix dropped his shoulders and a deep sigh escaped through his lips as he let himself be guided further into his chair.
"Somehow I can't figure Changbin out. At times he's totally nice to me, giving me mixed signals, and then again he seems so distant and like he doesn't even consider me as a friend."
"So he didn't just friendzoned you but stranger-zoned you?" chuckled Jisung and immediately got a nasty look from his freckled friend.
"That's not funny Jisung!" whined Felix, dropping his head on the table. "Why did I have to fall in love with a guy like that of all people...".
"We don't choose who we fall in love with." Jisung tried to cheer up his depressed friend, who slowly raised his head.
"Have you ever been in love?"
At this question, Jisung paused for a moment and just looked at Felix silently. Sure Jisung had the some crushes, yet it was never enough to start a relationship. The blue haired guy just didn't like a bound relationship with obligations and rules and was more interested in something that didn't bind him to those things. That was also the reason why Jisung was always looking for one night stands or a steady fuck buddy. Feelings weren't for him and that would not change.
