Episode 5 part 4: The Re-coop-ling

I don't have the corona anymore! Yay! Now back to what's important: the recouping!!!

Everyone is gathered by the fire and Dj and Justin stand, facing everyone, as the girls and Noah are sitting on the bench as the boys wait for the girls to choose.

Justin's phone dings and he takes a deep breath.

"I went on a date with Courtney who told me to be myself. I'll take her advice and go with the person I've observed from a far. That person is Lightning."

Lightning looks at Dawn and she shrugs. What Can she do about it? They sit down as DJ starts to talk.

"Thanks Justin because you've made my choosing much easier. She's nice, likes animals, and she's adorable. I choose Dawn."

He walks over to her and sits next to her. She smiles when DJ puts an arm around her while, unknowingly, Lightning sees and frowns before looking away. Justin tries to comfort him and he smiles.

Noah's phone rings next. He doesn't have a speech.

"I don't have good enough words to describe this person in a speech so I'll just go right out and say I choose Geoff."

The two sit down together, Geoff now kind of used to being with a boy.

Jo went with Brick, Izzy chose Scott, Heather went with Alejandro, leaving only Courtney and Duncan left. She gets up, without her phone even dinging and clears her throat.

"Although we are the last two and it isn't necessary that I say a speech I still have one I'd like to say."

Everyone then looks at her, all ears, especially Duncan.

"I want to be with this guy because he's kind, caring, and sweet just to name a few of the adjectives to describe this great guy," she says as Duncan gives a soft smile. "Although I haven't known him for long, he has become my rock and I don't know what I would do if I were to loose him. The boy I want is Duncan."

She rushes over and jumps into his arms and they kiss, both passionate and loving. The moment would've escalated quickly if they didn't have an audience. And the other islanders.

"Ew get a room," Izzy jokes, as Duncan puts Courtney down, both with wide smiles on their faces.

Everyone in the villa seemed happy.

Well not everyone.

Lightning had pulled Dawn over to the day beds for a chat.

"So what did you want to talk about?"

"Us. If you like DJ that's sha-fine but don't hold out on telling me til the next recoupling. I really like you and will wait for you if you want me to. I just need to know."

She looked astonished. She didn't know how to answer but it wasn't long before she had the words to.

"Well I'm not sure. DJ is nice but I barely know anything about him," she cupped his face so she could look him in the eyes. "Unless I feel my head turn I'm faithful to you."

He smiled and the two decided a hug would be enough while they were in different couples.

As the night was coming to a close and most couples were in bed by now, Courtney was still changing into her sleep wear. Duncan popped his head in.

"Hey Princess do you have a moment?"

"Sure. What's up?" She says, turning away from the mirror.

"Did you really mean what you said in your speech? Or was it BS?"

"Why would I lie about that? That would be a low bar and it's just as low that you thought I was lying."

He grinned. "You're right. What was I thinking? Why would you of all people set such a low bar?"

"Is that sarcasm?"

"Nah I'm serious."

She smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck he wrapped his on her waist. And it wasn't long before they were kissing.

Although it didn't last for long as they went back to the bedroom and got into bed.

After awhile everyone was already snuggled and sleeping. A perfect end to a surprising night.

Or so they all thought.

For at 3 am, the new goth bombshell was going to make their morning.
