Man, I'm tired.
I was up all night with my baby girl and I don't think she's ever going to give me a break. She's not even a year old, but she's got this look. Like, "Daddy, what are you gonna do about it?" And then she starts crying and I can't get any sleep.
I got to the point where I just tossed her back in the crib, crawled into bed with my wife, and tried to catch a few hours of shut-eye. That didn't work out too well either. It made me think about how much I miss being single sometimes.
You know? Just being able to take care of yourself. You never have to worry about anyone else getting in the way of your ambitions or goals.
Or if they are getting in your way, it's because you want them there!
But that's the thing: people have a way of slowing you down no matter what you do. My old man used to say that marriage is like going to prison for life—and he was right!
