When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, "Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping."
To this day, especially in times of "disaster," I remember my mother's words and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers—so many caring people in this world.
I don't know if they've heard the saying that goes "if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself."
Well, it's true. If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. But there are a few things that you can't do alone. To those things, I say: find a helper or two; maybe even three.
Because those helpers out there could turn an ordinary something into an extra-ordinary something. Or maybe they could turn your nothing into a something.
