Storming into his incredibly messy room, Shoya Ishida crashed headfirst into his bed and lay there for what to him, felt like hours.

What a terrible day.

He didn't even want to think about it. God, he really didn't want to think about it. The morning was embarrassing enough, but then he just woke up in a different school and ended up being scolded for being late to fifth period. He Gritted his teeth. What? They think just because the school got inexplicably trashed, they can treat him like crap? How the hell is that fair? He didn't even know how he got there! All he remembered was a totally uneventful -nothing at all happened- morning, then he just... what? Listened to music? Yeah he thought he remembered listening to music- it's a bit of a blur- anyways he must have ditched or something, because he was suddenly up on some random roof, looking right at some...

He sat up, and spilled everything in his school bag onto the floor, chucking all his school books onto his bookshelf. He wasn't going to think about it, there was nothing to think about. Because it was nothing but a boring day.

"Boring..." he muttered, trailing his hands through his bookshelf. Actually, that day wasn't any ordinary day, was it? It was quite possibly the most important day in his life. He closed his sombre eyes. The fog finally lifted, his future finally became clear to him, he knew exactly what would become of him, something any kid his age would die to have.

Try as he might, He could barely muster a smile.

His fingers stopped at a very particular notebook on his shelf. It was worn and ruined but he had looked through it so many times that the words on its front had almost become illegible to him. He looked at it, completely calm, as calm as the bottom of the sea.

There, lying in the middle of his room, was a small red box. How did that get there? He was surprised he didn't notice it before, it stuck out like a sore thumb. He picked it up and opened it, seeing a pair of red earrings within it.

Then they started glowing.

A flash of pink light came illuminating out of it. Beams of red light slowly formed in what could only be described as a tiny, floating, red antennaed creature, which sorta looked like a bug.

"Hello!" it said "My name is Tikki! And you, Sho- uh, ehem, Shoya Ishida, are the proud new owner of the Ladybug Miraculous!"

Shoya blinked.

Huh?
