----"Stop moving so much." Lia said, trying to rub aloe onto Yeji's back. She groaned, squirming on the table she was laid on.
"If I get a splinter in my tit I'm blaming you." Yeji said, having been shirtless and face down on the wood the whole time.
"It's not my fault you keep wiggling." Lia said, defensive.
"It's not my fault you keep rubbing like you're trying to wash a stain out of me." Yeji said, nearly sweating. Ryujin awoke a moment later, panicking before remembering where she was. She peeped her head over the side of the couch, seeing the two bickering senselessly.
She stood up, the two becoming silent as they watched her walk to the bathroom.
"If she kills a plant It's your fault Hwang."
--
"I'm not going to hurt you, darling." Yeji said, rolling her eyes and motioning for Ryujin to follow her. Once again they were walking alone in the forest, daylight instead though.
"Can you blame me for having misgivings?" Ryujin said, watching Yeji roll her eyes and extend her hand to take.
"No, I can't." Yeji said, looking at her with sincerity so full, eyes so wide and deep with the brown swirls. Ryujin could barley maintain eye contact.
"You better not be lying." Ryujin said, softly grasping her hand and letting herself be lulled with the brunette once more.
They walked for a bit, Ryujin following like a puppy.
"Here." Yeji said, stopping before pushing between a few rather thick bushes and trees.
It was a village, a rather poor and defenseless looking village. Ryujin noticed nearly everyone was injured and people were rushing to treat anyone from small children to the elderly.
"What happened here?" Ryujin asked, people turning heads curiously toward them. Well, more towards her. They looked at Yeji with respect though.
"They're all illusionists." Yeji said, her eyes hurt as they continued to walk through the small tent like structures.
"All of them?" Ryujin said, surprised. She had thought illusionists we're starting to die off. Well, be killed off.
"All of them." Yeji paused, noticing a grave site nearby. "Warriors came in, ambushed a perfectly functional and unproblematic castle." She started to tear up, but with a sniffle she choked it down. "They didn't deserve it."
Ryujin rest a hand on her lower back, rubbing. She felt bad for Yeji, she felt bad for everyone there. But she also felt guilty. Come to think of it, there isn't a reason for warriors and illusionists to be fighting.
"They said the land belonged to the superior magic. The stronger magic that more people possessed." Yeji continued. Ryujin kept her hand on the brunette's back, Yeji appreciated her comfort. "We're losing Ryu. My people are dying. Our magic is beautiful, and they're killing us." She sniffled again.
"I'm sorry, Yeji." Ryujin said, and she was serious. Yeji looked at her, eyes glossy and with something unrecognizable.
"When I saw you I felt hope. I didn't think I'd ever find the one who had your power." Yeji was closer now, pulling Ryujin into her and nuzzling into the raven-haired's neck. "Please help us. Please." She said, voice cracking as she spoke into her skin.
Ryujin faltered, her heart throbbing in pain. She didn't understand why Yeji made her feel so many different things.
"Yeji..." Ryujin said, her hands finally embracing her, holding her as they swayed.
