PATTER..PATTER..PATTER
Rain fell from the sky in an endless torment of icy coldness. Airy laughter trailed closely behind as police sirens echoed in the vast night. The distance between the police force and the target was short, yet it seemed they couldn't quite get a read on them let alone catch up to them.
PLOP..PLOP..PLOP
Feet thumped against the roof top's tough material, and more laughter was sound.
"We've got him locked in our sight.." A gruff voice informed. Suddenly, static was heard. Frowning, the police officer looked down at the device in their hand. The officer known as Chiyo gasped. Traces of black wisps was seen in his peripheral vision, then, a pressure on his neck before he was out cold.
"Works every time," The amused voice of a masked figure laughed. They seemed to present masculine, quite the jokester they were— giggling as they bent down and picked up the walk-talkie from the ground.
"It seems there was a slight.. complication." Mused the man, talking into the communication device. The operator on the other line could only sigh.
"Kyōi.." Muttered the police officer on the other line. He slapped his palm against the table in frustration. How could they continue to be outclassed? They were the police force dammit. They could beat a couple of law-breakers so why did they continue to lose them each and every time?
