Chapter 3

Since Megan knew she was going on tour again this summer the time went by pretty fast in school. Megan got straight A's so she didn't have to worry about falling behind in school because of her tours. She only had a couple weeks left of her 9th grade year. Also, by this time Megan was really popular and even some girls in her school had her CD and asked for her autograph. She gladly signed them. When Megan was on her way to her last class of the day, she saw her friends walking down the hallway. She ran up to them and said, "You guys will never believe this!"

"What happened?" Amanda said first.

"Some kids in this school actually have my CD and they're asking me for my autograph!" Megan said.

"That's awesome!" Her friend Elizabeth said.

"Oh, and I can get you all my CD if you want it," Megan told them, "Anybody here want my CD? I have like twenty of them at my house."

"I do," they all said at once.

"Great! I'll bring them in tomorrow and give them to you in the morning," Megan said.

They all agreed and they walked to their last class together because they all have the same class at the end of the day.

When class was over, Megan saw the boy she really liked. His name is Cody. She showed her friends who already knew she has a crush on him because she talked about him everyday since 9th grade started.

"You really should just go over to him and ask him out," Amanda said.

"Yeah, Megan. 9th grade is almost over and this might be your last chance," another one of Megan's friends said.

"Right now?" Megan asked nervously.

"Yes!" They all said at once.

"Fine. How do I look?" Megan asked them.

"You look great," Amanda said.

Megan took a deep breath and started walking towards Cody. She stopped in the middle, looked back, and had a nervous look on her face. All her friends gestured her with their hands to keep going. Megan walked. When she got to Cody he smiled and said, "Hey. Megan, right?"

"Yeah," Megan said in a nervous voice.

"Cool, I've seen you around school," Cody said.

"Really? You pay attention to me?" Megan asked sounding sort of confused.

"Yeah, you seem cool," Cody said with the side grin Megan always loved.

Megan cleared her throat and said, "So, umm, would you like to go somewhere this Friday?"

Cody smiled and said, "Sure, I've actually wanted you to ask me out for a long time now," Cody was blushing now.

Megan smiled too and said, "Great! See you then."

"See you then," Cody said.

They both said bye and walked away. Megan walked to her friends and screamed.

"He said yes! And he wanted me to ask him out for a long time now!" Megan said really loud.

"That's awesome! I knew he would say yes!" Amanda said.

They all went home and Megan was extremely happy. She almost forgot to get ready for her tour. Wait! Her tour! She just started going out with Cody and she had to leave for the whole summer!

When she got home, she told her mom she had asked out a boy named Cody and he said yes. She told her mom everything about him and her mom said, "He sounds like a nice boy, Megan. But, I have to meet him."
