Amy examined the photos hanging on the wall. If they were there from the start, or if they are nothing but a mere figment of Amys imagination, she did not take notice to this.
She examined all she could of her best friend, her bright long hair, reaching all the way down to her thighs, her clothing style, that everyone always mocked her for in elementary school, while Amy was examining her friend, she couldn't help but examine herself. Her purple hair, that she mostly kept in pigtails, her vest, that reached no further than her top torso, and last but not least, her diary. She then moved onto the background. The trees, the grass, the children, it was a simpler time back then. As much as she wanted to continue admiring the good times lingering in her mind, she picked up her pencil, and started writing in her diary.

Dear diary, you haven't heard from me in a while. It's me, Amy M. Miller. As you may have seen, my search continues. I took an oath to find her, a promise that lasts 'til the end. I hope you will assist me in saving her.

"Huh?" A small sound escaped the girl.

She signed her goodbyes with her signature at the bottom of the page, before closing the diary and leaving the room. She had done alot today, and just decided to sleep.
She entered her own room, changed, and then slowly fell asleep.

She woke up on the ground, infront of her house. She flinched and stiffened out of shock, before staring up at her...
no,
her best friends house.
She slowly got up and started walking towards it, before seeing her best friend at the door. "??????! OH HOW I'VE MISSED YOU, WHERE DID YOU GO?" She said.. no, tried to say. No words would exit her mouth. They would only linger in her mind. She then noticed next that everything was disoriented, and she was getting dizzy. As her vision started to fade, the more she tried to scream the worse it got. Her vision came back to normal as she started seeing the flames. Flames dancing around the house, dancing and growing.
The fire alarm sounded.

She hit the snooze button on her alarm, before loudly groaning.
'It was a dream.' She thought.
She hesitantly climbed out of bed, before rushing to get dressed.
