This chapter also contains mentions of blades- It also has some swearwords
Sorry for not updating, I'll try to write more oftenThe blonde had been inching the knife closer to Amys neck, her flinching with every movement.
'Is this really how i die?!'
Without thinking, she quickly pushed his arm back, landing a nasty scar over his eye. He fell down, bringing his hands to his eye, clearly in pain. The dagger fell once again, with an even louder clunk.
The blonde started swearing, holding his eyes shut.
As he was panicking, Amy could see something on his head.. horns?
And a tail.. eventually some wings?
Amy gasped in shock when adding up all together that the blonde was a demon.
She had guessed something was wrong with him when she noticed his unnaturally tinted blue skin tone, but was too focused on escaping at the time to think more of it.
Amy had always been told she was too sympathetic, so she couldn't help but feel slightly bad for the demon.
She wouldn't like it if she got a cut across the eye. She waited a bit before hesitantly asking
"Are you... okay?"
The demon looked up in pure confusion, but he was far from calm.
"I'm sorry that I hurt you." Amy said, before she hesitantly walked towards the bathroom, leaving the demon in shock.
'What is she doing? Is she unaware of how dangerous demons are or some shit?' The demon thought.
'No.. She knows. Then what is she doing?'
Before the demon could continue his thoughts, Amy walked back in the room, holding a few medical supplies.
"Hold still."
The demon removed his hands that had still been covering the scar.
He calmed down as Amy started messing around with the supplies.
'Seems like she knows what she's doing.' He thought
"So... what's the deal with murdering me?" Amy asked, making the demon feel slightly intimidated.
A long silence came after that, Any thought it was awkward so she asked another question, breaking the awkward silence.
"Okay then.. How about we introduce ourselves?"
"Sure.." The demon said in response.
"My name is Amy Marie Miller, but you can just call me Amy. What's yours?"
'Names? Humans are so fucking weird.'
Not all demons were as important, so most didn't get names.
The demon thought any good names, until he came up with
"Trance. My name is Trance."
He said.Timeskip
Amy had just about finished fixing up Trances scar, with the sound of an awkward silence always lingering.
"So uh.. Why are you trying to kill me?" She asked, breaking the silence.
"It's my job."
"Job?"
Trance sat in a moment of silence, not quite knowing what to say.
The silence killing her, Amy decided to speak up.
"Okay nevermind then..."
Her speaking up didn't last long, as the silence returned after.
Amy spotted the diary she had dropped a couple of minutes prior, and went over to get it. She sat down on the floor to check for breaks.
"Why do you have that, anyway?" Trance broke the silence this time.
"I don't think you would believe me."
Trance stood up, and walked over towards Amy, and squatted down to match her height.
"I'm all ears. I don't know anyone here anyway." He said.
"Well.. My best friend went missing. No, she.. dissapeared. Without a trace."
"Is that so?"
"Yeah, and no one here remembers her or believes me, so I've been struggling with it."
"Hmm.. well, tell ya what. If you let me stay here until i can leave, I'll believe you and your best friend."
Amy looked at him in shock.
"You'll believe me??"
"Yeah sure, why not."
Amy was joyed. Even if this Trance person never knew her, she was happy to have someone.
"Can normal people see you?" She asked.
"I guess not?"
"Interesting."
Amy stood up, Trance also standing up shortly after, his tail slightly moving and flopping down as he stood up.
"How old are you? I'm 16." Amy asked.
Trance didn't answer, since he seemed to be doing some kind of math.
"16" He said after a while.
"Oh, nice!"
There wasn't much more to talk about, so amy just decided to maybe sleep it off.TRANCE POV
Today was a weird day. I have a name now.
Only the higher demons have names. Even if I own a popular gang, I'm nowhere near the tops.
I like trance, it has a nice ring to it.
Amy is nice, I guess.
But I don't know what boss will think of me sparing someone, so I'm staying here for a while.
I'm just gaining her trust, but why do i feel so... bad?
I can't afford to be sympathetic though, one bad shift and it will all go downhill.
Atleast.. I can stay here for now.A/N
Heyy, author here! As I said, sorry for inconsistent posting. I've been relaxing a lot since it's easter break :)
Also, everything will be narrator pov, unless stated otherwise. So in the next chapter, it will go back to narrator/3rd person pov unless stated otherwise.
