Natsu's Birthday

It was Natsu's Birthday today. We never really knew when his birthday was so we decided to celebrate it on (insert date here). I heard the sound of an opening door and Natsu's voice ringing through the house "We're home!". "Welcome home Natsu, Ryu. How was your-" I was cut of by Natsu's warm lips. "Don't ask. Ryu had a fight with Gray again today." He whispered in my ear while Ryu went off to the living riim. Natsu buried his head in the crook of my neck. "It smells delicious. What are you cooking?". "Your favourite." I said as I continued cutting vegetables. After we ate the kids were playing and Natsu and me were talking in the kitchen. We heard Yuki ask if Ryu wanted to play with her and he started yelling at her. Natsu went into the living room and calmly said to Ryu. "Ryu. I know you're frustrated thanks to Gray. But you don't need to yell at Yuki therefore.". I was standing in the door opening when Ryu yelled "You don't tell me what to do and what not. You're not my real father!". I saw all Natsu's muscles tense up and relax again as he walked outside saying "I need some time alone." as he passed me. "Ryu. I thought we went over this already. You know he loves you more than anyone else could ever do." Ryu just nodded and went to his room. When Natsu came back it was late and the kids were sleeping already. He pecked my lips and went straight to bed. "Natsu..." was all I could say.
