Chapter 1

Hinata Pov

I opened my eyes to see an unfamiliar ceiling. I squinted my eyes and sat up. My arm hurt and I looked to see tiny puncture marks.
Needles!

"I see you've woken up, my lady." - ???

I looked beside me to see a maid standing with a mocking look on her face.

She said 'my lady'. That must mean I'm a noble lady right? So why is she treating me like this?

I didn't say a word. I only observed, so as to not give away that I am not the real Penelope.

She then gave me cold water to wash my face with. For the first time, I was furious. How long was the original Penelope suffering like this?

I washed my face as she served breakfast for me.

The food was rotten.... stale bread, soup that mostly consisted of water. To describe it in one word : Disgusting.

There is no way I'm eating that.

I sighed and covered my eyes with my hand to try and activate Byakugan.

I felt the familiar veins appear near my eyes.

No one has Chakra. Could it be that I am in a different world?

Outside the door behind me, there was the pink haired man from before.

He entered the room without knocking and I deactivated Byakugan.

"What's going on here?" - ??? (Pinkie)

"S-Second Young Master, Reynold!" - ???

So that's his name...

He looked at my table and his eyes widened.

"What is a mere maid like you serving her mistress?! Even if you disrespect the duchy, there is a limit! Hey! Is anyone outside?! Guards! Take this brat and lock her up!" - Reynold

The guards started to drag the maid to lock her up.

He then looked at me concerned.

"Are you going to say that I deserved it?" - Hinata/Penelope

He flinched but ignored what I said.

"Are you okay? Do you want me to call the physician?" - Reynold

You are just saying these words out of courtesy aren't you? You don't mean any of that, do you? In that case...

"Young Master. I'm a lady right?" - Hinata/Penelope

"Ye-Yes..." - Reynold

"And you are a man right?" - Hinata/Penelope

"Penelope what are yo‐!" - Reynold

"How could you barge into my room like that? What if I was changing?" - Hinata/Penelope

He blushed (embarrassed).

"Ho-How could you say something like that?! You are my sister! (He said this because he did not want to be put in a difficult situation)" - Reynold

So Penelope is his sister huh. Judging from the way she is treated, she was probably adopted.

"Young Master, I am grateful for your concern but please refrain from entering my room unannounced. I can take care of myself. Please don't concern yourself with these trivial matters." - Hinata/Penelope

He was shocked but that shock then turned into a mix of anger and.... hurt? (Because Hinata basically told him to get lost)

"Hah! Eat whatever you want and die. No one cares about you anyway!" - Reynold
