It was comforting, being around my friends… uumm.. I mean now sisters. Even though I had knew them since I was little. It feels in a way, that I didn’t. Watching them interact with the people, of the village. It was like another side of them. Jade was playing with the children. This was her comfort zone. Giggling jumping and playing. One child was drumming on a small drum. While others were clapping there hands, and dancing along. I could see her, with a few of her own on day. But what’s this… hhmmm…. I wonder if my sister Jade knows. That she has secret admirer… A man almost 6 ft, long black hair, and muscles big enough to lift 2 carriages. I chuckle at the thought. Was standing maybe 20 feet from her, leaned up against a tree. Standing back smiling.. Like he could see something, she could not.
“ Lorena, what are you laughing about ? “ - jade asked, just now realizing I was watching her play.
“ Ooohhh… Nothing sis. * coughed * “ - wiggling my finger, in the direction of the guy. “ Someone seems like they have an interest in you sis. “
Jade turned around, to see who I was talking about. I don’t think I have ever seen Jade, blush so much. She may have a dark crème ( in color ) skin tone. But she could never hide the pure red, her faced turned.
“ Uuumm.. Oh him.. ? * scratching the back of her neck * Rowland is a friend. “ - Jade could barely get it out. Let alone stand still.
“ It’s alright. If you want we can talk about it later. Go play a little more, with the kids. I think Kaya, will be having us leave soon. “ - brushing my fingers thru the horses hair.
Jade nodded her head, going back to play with them. It didn’t escape my sight though. That I seen her, stealing a glance. A time or two, over to this admirer of hers.
I was happy for my little sissy. Glancing around, I was wondering where Kaya was. I seen a lot of guys from the village. Had went to a large flat grass plane, down near the river. Their was someone, training them. Since I was waiting on Kaya, to go to this home. That they told me about. I pulled my horse along, taking her for some water. Down by the river, so that I could get a closer look. Has my horse, was drinking her feel. I sat on a tree bench, near her. You could hear hooting and hollering. More of praise than anything else. Of coarse with a few, other comments on the side.
“ You do know I could have did better. “
“ Why she think. She is always the best ? . ? . “
“ Watch your words, you two. Or your next. “ - a strong females voice spoke. Hearing the medal on medal, combat around her.
I honestly couldn’t believe it. I hadn’t seen Kaya, ever pick up anything. As far as a weapon. So to see her, training these guys… it was all amazing. Her clothes had changed. She was wearing flat bottom knee high black boots. With form fitting black pants, and a purple v-neck blouse. Her hair was off her shoulders, in a long braid. She her whole appearance. She did seem like someone, that has seen one to many battles. With a high stroke of a medium, but yet long sword, towards her opponent. It hit its mark, directly to the left side of the neck. Then stopped….
“ And that’s how you take advantage, of the enemy. Before they know what’s happening. “ - Jade said, with authority. Her opponent, was a well muscled guy. A little taller than her. So I figured, it would be the other way around. You know. He knelt down before her, lifting his sword to his chest. Right above his heart, with his head lowered. Showing her respect. It made my heart proud. Seeing my friend, my sister like this. When she spotted me, she walked over. Given me a warm hug.
“ Sorry dear sister, I did not know, if you was ready yet. So I had to get a little practice in, with the guys. I hope that I didn’t alarm you. With what you seen.. “ - with a happy but yet worried look.
“ oh it’s fine Kaya. Why didn’t you tale me, that you could do that ? It amazed me, to just watch. “ - smiling with pride.
“ Thank you sis. But one thing you will learn. Hopefully here soon. Who do you think I learned from? “ - smiling with mischief.
“ How would I know. * laughing * You 2 have surprised me. every time I’ve turned around. “
“ Dear Lorena. I learned from you. “
“ Me?!?! How can that be ? I wouldn’t know, the first thing to do. “ - in shock
“ There’s a lot of things you don’t remember. But you will, in time. But for now. We must go, before it gets to dark. Don’t want to keep father waiting any longer. “
- I just nodded my head. I wasn’t so worried till she said that. Has we walked back up to the village. Has they said their good bye. I hoped up on my horse. Looking towards the distance. Hoping with all hope, that my mother was still alive. But with in my heart. I know that she’s already gone. As the people of the village, wave to us. As we ride off. We ride in silence for a while. At this moment there wasn’t much that I wanted to talk about. Everything in a way, is all balled up inside. Pain, hate, anger, nothing but blackness. When I was little, I was able to hide my thoughts and emotions. So if my sisters really knew what I was thinking and feeling…. They may have run for higher grown. There’s something inside me. I can feel it… Growing stronger and stronger… When I woke up, is when it started. When I finally got away from Avalon. Is when something started unraveling. I pray to the gods, that I can handle all that I find out. Thru this Lord Christos. If not… gods help them.
